5 months ago I looked in the mirror and hated what I saw.
That moment changed everything!
πΆ We just had our 2nd baby boy & the realisation came to me that Iβd let myself go massively
I was struggling to balance family, business & my health
β My belly was huge
β My love handles spilled over my pants
β I would get out of breath walking up the stairs and just wanted to sit down all the time
My biggest frustration is that I was quite strong, but for the first time in my life, I didn't care how strong I was
I looked terrible and felt like an old man! π΄
I also felt invisible in social settings
I started noticing how fat & bloated my face was in family pictures & no longer felt attractive or healthy.
That was the wake-up call I needed. I decided I had two choices: stay stuck or take control. I chose change! β
I started by making small changes to my nutrition & training. It was easy & not too overwhelming.
Over time I lost 42lbs, built strength and completely transformed my mindset πͺ
Today, I wake up feeling energized and confident in my skin. I donβt just look different β I feel different. I no longer hide in the background.

One of the biggest problem men face (or so they tell me)
is they don't feel like they have a 'MASCULINE' physique
Whether you're 18 or 50+
There's nothing wrong with wanting to 'fill out' your frame a bit more
& feel stronger in yourself
In fact I recommend every man does this
There are hardly any downsides to having a bit more muscle & looking slightly more physically imposing
This was one of the main reasons I started lifting

'NO MORE TYPE 2 DIABETES'
From 18stone (114kg) to 14stone (89kg)
BIG TRANSFORMATION by my client and friend Ste
Today is our 2 year train-iversary πͺ
Ste came to me already having lost some weight but was still on higher doses of his diabetes medication. He wanted to reclaim his health once and for all, build muscle, get stronger and overall just feel better in himself.
Ste has spent the better part of 30 years as a business owner, always on the go, no time for himself and having to put everyone else and business first.
But he decided it was time to put himself at the top of his priority list β
We started off training 2x per week so he was able to find a balance between business, life and health.
That quickly turned into 5-7 days per week training once he started feeling the benefits ha πͺπ
Ste has not only drastically reduced his diabetes medication and is now technically no longer type 2 diabetic, but he's also built a solid amount of muscle!
He's stronger than ever, fit as a fiddle, and is actually super athletic!
We now do kickboxing which he's taken to like a champ π₯ (and sometimes gives my head a little wobble π)
It's not just about muscle!
It's about health, vitality, performance, fitness, mindset and most of all just enjoying the process π

Lower body workout brought to you by my Apex Athlete App π
1οΈβ£ Box jumps - sets of 3 - trying to get consecutive reps with minimal rest in-between jumps. Not my highest jumps but currently at 95.4kg (210lbs / 15stone) bodyweight. So being able to maintain high jumps whilst 15 stone is hard. Plus, I'm still sore from Tuesday.
2οΈβ£ Broad jumps - sets of 6 - trying to find a rhythm on these so I can repeatedly jump without resetting. Once again, doing these at 15stone yet maintaining consistent 2.5m jumps πͺ last time I tried these in 2022 and got 3m but I was 20kg/40lbs lighter.
3οΈβ£ Quad extensions - 3x10 - had some right knee pain so I was a bit off on these (look at my feet, one is dorsi flexed and other is more neutral)
4οΈβ£ GHR extensions - 3x8-10 - I actually tried to do lunges but my knee was feeling it, so switched to these specifically to target my erectors.
5οΈβ£ Cable crunches - 3x10 - these were superset with the GHR. This filmed set wasn't my best technique set. I wasn't pushing my hips forward enough at the top position until the 2nd & 3rd set.
6οΈβ£ Good workout. Couple niggles and a lot of muscle soreness held me back a bit but we adjusted and kept it moving πͺ

If you dont have a goal or a plan for life
It's easier to make poor decisions which will negatively impact your life
This is proper cliche
But it's true
A lot of men are lost because they don't actively think about where they're going
They have no 'destination' to progress towards
This is why the gym is so good for people on a mental level
It gives them a sense of progression and development
which can then spill over into other areas of life
if you feel like you're wandering through life aimlessly
& you don't train
that's a pretty good place to start
it wont solve all of your problems
But you'll feel 10x better doing something good for yourself & getting a bit of discipline in your life
Most of you haven't got depression...
You're just sitting on your fat or skinny arse too much
Get out of the house and put some energy INTO YOURSELF DAMNIT!
