Last weeks man of the match was shared between Matthew and Oscar. Two stand out solid performances and maximum effort for the full match.

Well played lads, keep up the great work.

It was our first game back after a frustrating long winter break. Great effort by the lads including our new striker Sizwe who scored on his debut. We didn't get the win but we were happy with the performance, especially considering how long we haven't had a match for.

No games for 6 weeks has left the lads a bit disappointed lately.

Thankfully a great Christmas party at today has put smiles on faces.

Great to have a 100% turnout, couple of new players there too.

We would like to say a massive congratulations to our team captain Lennon on achieving his black belt in Jeet Kune Do.

A massive achievement for a young lad who has been training since he was 7. A great example of hard work paying off.

For the third weekend running, we have no game 😣

Unfortunately recent bad weather has the pitches waterlogged, and in order to protect pitches from being destroyed, the games have been getting called off.

The lads are frustrated but we'll keep training to be ready for when we get the go ahead to play.

Special shout out to Sean for today. When summing up the game at the end, manager Andy wanted to highlight the brilliant effort and energy from the team today, and he awarded Sean the best effort of the match award.

Well in Sean lad. Effort and determination always gets noticed. Keep it up mate.

Our Man Of The Match today is Leighton.

One of the newer players in the team, he's settled in really well and put in a great performance at the back today. Some really good tackles and good passing forwards out of defence.

Full time score, 5-1 to Heron.

This result is hard to take because it really doesn't reflect the game at all.

Massive improvements from every player, we went in at half time 1-1 after high pressing forced them into a mistake for Jack to put it away from close range.

A bad start to the 2nd half and we were 2-1 down. But the game was end to end. Our lads battled hard for the full game, with no substitutes to bring on, they put in a great shift man for man.

This is much more what we've been looking for from the lads, and to lose 5-1, we feel doesn't tell the story of the game.

Keep up that effort lads. More of that and these results will start coming.
