📸 Thank you for sharing!
A big thank you to one of our families for sharing this lovely photo from our Play on a Shoestring session at Jubilee Family Hub. ✨
Our Play on a Shoestring sessions show how everyday household items can be transformed into fun, engaging activities that support children's learning and development without costing a fortune. From sensory play and creative crafts to sorting games and imaginative play, there are so many ways to learn through play using low-cost and recycled materials.
💕 We love seeing families taking these ideas home and creating special moments together. Thank you for allowing us to share part of your family's learning journey! 😊

🏃♀️ Every movement counts! 🏃♂️
The UK Chief Medical Officers' Physical Activity Guidelines 2026 highlight the importance of helping babies and young children move more and break up periods of inactivity.
Did you know that regular physical activity helps young children build strong bones and muscles, develop social skills, improve sleep, and support learning and brain development?
✅ Under 1 year: Aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day
✅ Ages 1-5 years: Aim for at least 180 minutes of activity spread throughout the day
Whether it's dancing, climbing, messy play, swimming, jumping or a family walk, getting active helps children grow, learn and thrive.
