Bwlch Rangers Juniors

Our under 11s had their first minis tournament today. We played Dafen, Camford and Trallwm. Despite being two players down against Dafen and Camford, the boys were outstanding, showing great movement, passing and for their age, great communication. We would like to thank Trallwm Under 11s for taking 2 of their players off to make it fair on our boys when we played them, a great gesture and good sportsmanship from the coaches.

As always, the importance of kids having fun is to me the most important part of junior sports and our boys came away from the tournament smiling, having enjoyed themselves today.

Thank you to the parents and players who spent their Saturday helping raise funds for the team. We didn't manage to get a photo of everyone involved, but we appreciate everyone taking their time to help.

Also a thank you to Asda in Llanelli for hosting us. The staff were lovely to us all and it was also nice to see so many people that we haven't seen for years, including ex Bwlch Rangers AFC players and family members associated with our club, many years ago.

Our newly formed Under 13s had only their second game this evening and we would like to say thank you to Trallwm Tigers Football Club under 13s for a great game of football. Simon Carew who was brilliant reffing again and the fans who cleaned up after themselves and the players who put on a display which created a great game to watch.

Only our 2nd game together and for some players who never played a competitive game of football before, it was amazing to watch. No doubt it will get more exciting to watch as they mould into a team and develop their game. It makes us proud that despite playing a good Trallwm team, we made it difficult for them from start to finish. Players who were nervous from our last game came out with confidence in the 2nd half and most important of all, they enjoyed themselves and were excited to play their next game.

As we always say, tonight showed how football should be at grassroots. We look forward to our next game.
