🌟 Player Spotlight | Barnet & North London Water Polo Club 🌟

Some players bring talent to the water. Others bring heart, leadership, experience, and inspiration to everyone around them. Today, we are proud to recognise one of those special people in our water polo family.

Originally from Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, he began his water polo journey at just 9 years old and immediately fell in love with the sport. For him, water polo became much more than a game β€” it became a way of life built on discipline, intelligence, teamwork, and resilience.

Growing up through the Moldovan water polo system, he represented his country alongside teammates who shared years of training camps, national competitions, and unforgettable international experiences. Together, they built friendships and a true sense of brotherhood that continues to this day.

He speaks with enormous respect and gratitude for the coaches and mentors who helped shape not only his sporting career, but also his values and character as a person. That spirit of loyalty, humility, and commitment is something he continues to carry with him every day.

Eight years ago, he moved to England with his wife and two children and was reintroduced to water polo through friends and former national team connections. Since then, he has become an important and respected member of both Barnet Water Polo Club and North London Water Polo Club.

From our perspective as a club, he represents everything that water polo should stand for β€” professionalism, leadership, positivity, experience, and genuine support for teammates both in and out of the pool. He leads by example, always encouraging younger players and helping create a strong team spirit wherever he goes.

His passion for the game remains as strong today as when he first entered the pool as a child in Moldova, and we are incredibly proud to have him as part of our water polo community.

We thank him for his commitment, friendship, and contribution to the sport, and we look forward to many more years together in the water polo family. πŸ€½β€β™‚οΈπŸ’™

πŸ’™ What a weekend for our North London family.

Two teams. Two national finals.
U17 & U19 β€” both bringing home silver medals.

But more than medals, this weekend was about heart, effort, and togetherness.

Our boys gave everything in the water β€” courage, resilience, and real team spirit from start to finish. Moments like these don’t happen without the commitment behind the scenes.

To all our parents β€” thank you.
For the early mornings, the travel, the support, and the belief you give the boys every single week. It truly makes the difference.

To our coaches β€” your dedication and guidance continue to shape not just players, but young people.

And to our players β€” we are incredibly proud of you. You represented the club with pride, and this is just the beginning of your journey.

πŸ’™ We win together. We learn together. We move forward together.
