KETTLEBELL SN**CH 101

Progressing from the kettlebell swing, the sn**ch is another great hinge movement.
1️⃣overhand grip kettlebell, drive hips back keeping the bell tucked close to you
2️⃣using the same form for a kettlebell swing, snap your hips forward, keeping core tight and driving heels into ground, propelling the bell up & forward
3️⃣As the KB reaches about chest height start to bend your elbow
4️⃣Punch through the handle of the bell to finish with your arm extended above your head.
5️⃣drop the KB over your knuckles allowing the weight to drive away on the downward motion, using this momentum for the next sn**ch. ————————————
Some common mistakes can be
-gripping the kb too hard : if you maintain a super tight grip on the handle, there is a fair chance you'll find your forearms bruised, try to loosen your grip to allow the kb to move over your hand and punch through at the top so the weight rests on your forearm.
-turning wrist : maintain an overhand grip of the kb, whether you are using your right hand or left hand, the kettlebell should follow the same pathway in front of you

Building strength through the knees and quads with the Sissy squats - named after King Sisyphus (condemned by Zeus to roll the same boulder up a hill each day only to watch it roll back down again... AMRAP for eternity.)

Calling at Lido enthusiasts... are kicking off their season with a 400m Swim & 5k Run Aquathlon this Sunday. It's open to newcomers and seasoned vets - should be great fun. We've got a small Fieldworks Gym contingent but would be great to get a bigger crew down to represent! I'm in as soon as I get a childcare pass for Sunday morning 🙄👶🏃♂️🏊♂️
