Lewisham's sporting talent celebrated at annual GLL Sport Foundation Awards Evening.

On Thursday 2nd July some of south London’s most accomplished athletes came together at The Broadway Theatre, Catford to celebrate Lewisham’s GLL Sport Foundation awards.

The event – which marked the announcement of the 98 local sportspeople who will be supported by the Foundation this year – was attended by 72 guests, including 36 athletes and their families along with Cllr Regisford Speaker of Lewisham and Cllr Ashwell Cabinet Member for Environment, Nature, Transport and Climate Action.

Exciting news for Lewisham!

The plans for the refurbishment of Forest Hill Pools and Glass Mill have been confirmed. Both projects will see new bigger gym spaces with brand new equipment, alongside new softplay provision.

Glass Mill and Wavelengths to host blood donation sign up service ran by the NHS **note venue change**

Across the weekend on the 18th and 19th July Glass Mill Leisure Centre and Wavelengths will be hosting the NHS blood and transplant team to encourage people to find out their blood type and register as donors.

The blood donation service will be at Glass Mill Leisure Centre on Saturday 18th July between 11am and 3pm. They will also then be at Wavelengths on Sunday 19th July again between 11am and 3pm.

On Tuesday 28th July we'll be hosting a Run Bike Run mini at The Alex Yee Ladywell Arena.

The event is for children aged between 6 and 14 years of age.

This is a fun non competitive way to try a multi discipline sport.

60+ programme successfully relaunched at Glass Mill Leisure Centre.

Following customer feedback we have relaunched our over 60 social session on Wednesdays. As well as adding swimming lessons for this age group as well as a Mindfulness class.
