When thinking about what to include in my recap, I realized that my LRC related top 10 2023 highlights barely include actual climbing. Surely, between battling some inconvenient weather conditions and a bunch of injuries I did make it up some walls and rocks too, but somehow a lot of other things gave me a lot more joy.
Witnessing spectacular sunsets and feeling like I'm walking on the Mars at Tenerife. Eating so much pasta, that I have put on weight on a climbing trip at Sardinia. Dressing up and watching the Barbie movie at the summer party.A group theatre trip and multiple outdoor adventure films festivals. Cold water dips after a climb. Rainy day beach walks. Spectacular views from the tops on routes. Playing like kids at Fairlop. Spending a whole day hanging out at the Reach. Crying from laughter playing silly games on trips. Working on our tan at the crag and catching the last rays of sunshine. All with gorgeous humans of LRC.
Because at the end of the day, we are a social club, just with a bit of a climbing addiction :)
