🌊 OPEN WATER WITH TYPE 1: KINGDOM OF FEARS 🏊‍♂️

Join us on MONDAY 24TH AUGUST - 8PM where we will be joined by Steve Mac.

Open water swimming with Type 1 diabetes can bring a whole extra set of questions… and sometimes a whole lot of worry.

What’s your glucose before the start? What happens if you hypo mid-swim? Where should your CGM or pump site go under a wetsuit? What about cold shock, mass starts, sighting, getting out of the water… and yes, even “Do people really throw punches?” 😅

Join us for a virtual Zoom call to shape our upcoming open water session for people living with Type 1.

Come along, share what bothers you before, during or after an open water swim, and ask the questions you’ve always wondered about.

We're meeting up this Saturday for a Type 1 Diabetes social in London ahead of the London Marathon for parkrun (or perhaps a walk if you're planning on running the marathon), coffee, a walk in the park, and lunch.

Come for the run, come for the coffee, come for the community, or come for it all…

This is a great example showing everyone that diabetes doesn't stop you from getting results when it comes to physical activity! There might be some extra challenges and hurdles, but with the right community, tools and approach great things are within reach 💪
