Old Ruts Youth FC U14 Girls

First of our summer tournaments today @ FYFC, unfortunately abandoned due to weather.
The girls finished 3rd in Group A and would have progressed to the QF against the team who finished 2nd in group B.
Three draws, three points and a clean sheet.
Thought the girls were outstanding and dominated the majority of our games, we had chances and looked threatening. Very proud as we drew 0-0 against a league 1 side 👏👏👏

Old Ruts U14 Girls 2023/24 Squad 👏👏👏

Our last home fixture of the season, a friendly match v Farncombe U14 Falcons was more like a cup tie, end to end action and both teams gave it everything. Amazing performances from our player of the match Bella and Club Player of the Match Preesa who were both outstanding in defence, fantastic goal from Vittoria with the assist from Annabelle. The 2023/24 Season what a ride it has been, finishing 5th in the league W7 D6 L6, 8 different goal scorers, 2 hat tricks and 2nd Round League Trophy Run. So proud of these girls, so let’s give out some awards:
Players Player - Preesa, Parents Player - Preesa, Top Goal Scorer - Vittoria with 11 goals, Goal of the Season - Caitlin away to Mitcham Park, Most Improved - Annabelle and Mangers Player - Lola. Special thank you to our special guest in attendance today to help present our awards 👏👏👏

Fantastic team performance from the girls today, we started off with an early lead thanks to an OG from our opponents who forced in a brilliant corner from Edie, 1-1 at HT we regrouped and on came Erin at RB with her first appearance since mid January, with a mid field packed with talent this allowed us to push up and create multiple chances on the break, honorable mentions: Fantastic performance from Bella in CM and Keeper Karimah with a series of brilliant saves. With an amazing individual performance and a stunning hat trick our player of the match was Vittoria FT Farncombe 2 - 4 Old Ruts

Not the result we wanted but as always we kept going until the end 👊 always proud of our girls who had to defend against a well organised opposition, stand out performances from super sub Caitlin who was excellent on the right wing to earn the Club Player of the Match and what a performance from our Player of the Match Audrey who was relentless in defence and pulled out at superb clearence on the line 👏👏👏

What a comeback from our girls who yet again showed fantastic fight and resilience to come back from 0-2 down at half time to bag all 3 points against a very good side. A fantastic goal from Eliza to start the fight back and 2 superb goals from Annabelle who was denied a half trick due to the final whistle. All players gave it their all and grew in confidence as the game progressed. Well deserved awards for our goal scorers club player of the match Eliza and Player of the Match Annabelle, we go again next week 👊

Our girls, just wow, I am beyond proud of each and every player today who despite the odds and the disadvantage we faced, played on, gave it everything and they never gave up 👊
Honorable mentions to our captain Preesa who fought brilliantly and came off due to an injury, super sub Vittoria, our no1 between the sticks Karimah who pulled out so many fantastic saves and super sub Emma for a brilliant goal 👍
An amazing performance from Audrey who bossed the midfield to earn the club captain award and player of the match Edie for a touch brilliance to score 👏👏
