If backbends are not your thing, it’s probably the type of pose you’ll learn the most from.

Contracting your back muscles becomes increasingly important as we age. More coming in a post soon!

My favourite remedy for when you think you have no time and too much to do!

✨My Saturday morning gentle flow classes have been running for almost a year at Haggerston School, Hackney in east London.

✨Designed by the celebrated modernist architect Ernie Goldfinger in 1962 and built between 1964 and 1967, the school has one of the largest footprints in central London and is next to my favourite local Haggerston Park.

✨Saturday morning classes have a relaxed feel and a regular group, there’s more chatting before we start than on weekday classes!

✨We’re in the drama block from 11am every Saturday with classes running through the summer

✨There’s a couple of spaces every week for students to try 2 classes for the price of one.

✨Message me for more details!

✨There is so much more to yoga than stretching or a feel good flow, and as we age, we need more …

It’s been a great week.

A focus on slowing things down, like this challenging step back from a Warrior 3 (aka Aeroplane) to high lunge.

And Speeding things up, working out how quickly I can set up this prop heavy restorative pose for my Rest and Replenish Workshop at the end of the month. The less time spent setting up, the more time there is to relax in comfort and ease.

And as always I’m accompanied by my furry companion Suki who loves to be around for some play and the napping.
