Or, as John Dryden would say, "We first make our habits, then our habits make us".
DAILY CHOICE of our THOUGHTS and ACTIONS creates our lives and shapes us as human beings. Yet, we often run on 'auto-pilot' and do not choose them consciously. Is it because we lack awareness of its importance, or is it a deliberate choice to be a spectator in one's own life?
To achieve anything, we first need to BECOME by constantly adapting our thoughts and actions toward the goal we are trying to achieve and the person we want to be.
In addition to your daily To-do list, I would encourage you to ask yourself these 3 simple questions:
MORNING (priming)
1. Who do I want to be today?
2. What values do I want to embody?
3. Which thoughts and actions will bring me closer to the person I am trying to become & goals I am trying to achieve?
These can be different every day depending on the daily CONTEXT ahead of you.
EVENING (reflection)
1. Did today's thoughts serve my well-being and desired evolution?
2. Were my actions in alignment with the values I try to embody?
3. Did my thoughts and actions bring me closer to the person I am trying to become & goals I am trying to achieve?
Once we start intentionally leading our days by CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSING our thoughts and actions, a new life unfolds...
Don't trust it - try it :)

How many INNER VOICES do you hear in your head? How often do they appear? Would you be able to give them corresponding names?
For example, some of mine are Motivator, Child, Commander, Nerd, etc.
We can make a significant SELF-AWARENESS leap by:
1) Identifying those inner voices
2) Giving them funny nicknames
3) Recognizing when they appear
The next step would be deciding what to do with them – ignore, negotiate, accept. In any case, now we have given ourselves a CHOICE.
Are you interested in gaining more choices in your daily life? Start with this simple exercise.

Read that AGAIN :) We not only hold responsibility for our ACTS but also for the way we SEE our reality.

One of my favourite concepts from the iconic book "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" – by Stephen R. Covey is the Circle of Concern vs Circle of Influence.
Circle of Concern
-things you cannot control (macroeconomic environment, political escalations, other people's behaviour...)
Circle of Influence
-things you can control (your choices, decisions, behaviour, lifestyle...)
Shifting the focus from the Circle of Concern to the Circle of Influence is essential to the coaching process. Realizing that the only thing we can change is OURSELVES.
By shifting our focus from the Circle of Concern toward the Circle of Influence, we proactively steer our life regardless of what happens around us.
How can you expand your Circle of Influence?

M.

As simple as that.
We owe it to ourselves to nourish and grow everything and everyone that AMPLIFIES OUR LIGHT and distance from those that deprive us of inner peace.
Stay focused :)

Facing ourselves is a one-way ticket to growth.
On a scale of 1-10, how good do you think you are in facing your personal struggles and fears with absolute honesty towards yourself?

Want to achieve a goal? Want to solve a problem? Want to get rid of an emotional burden? Start by writing it down!
Years ago, when I started my personal development journey, I was told by someone very wise that there are two secrets to high performance. The first one is WRITING.
As stated by neuroscientists, the benefits of writing are numerous – from increasing cognitive capabilities to improving mental health.
I am particularly impressed by the power of JOURNALING and its positive impact on SELF AWARENESS and reduction of anxiety (as practised in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). The ‘Pen & Paper’ method is most effective, as it is multisensorial and activates both brain hemispheres.
What would inspire you to start journaling? Can you write it down? :)

The most profound transformation is done through KNOWING and MASTERING oneself.
From that spot, the positive impact we can make is beyond measure.
