A little message for my little sister… and all the baby sisters out there. 🤍

Our mum was superwoman. She did so much for everyone, often putting herself last. And I think many of us grew up seeing that as just what women do.

But I want you to know that you don’t have to live that way.

You don’t have to carry everything on your own, keep everyone happy or feel guilty for choosing yourself.

You can speak up. You can set boundaries. You can make different choices. You can build a life that feels right for you, even if it looks different from what the generations before us were used to.

And if there’s one thing I hope we can do as older sisters, it’s make the road a little easier for the ones coming after us.

I might not have all the answers, but whatever I’ve learnt along the way, I hope it helps you.

Our mums were superwomen, but you don’t have to be.

Let the cycle end with us, so you can live a little more freely. 🤍

Some words are simple to translate, but much harder to truly understand.

Samarpan is one of them.

For me, its meaning became clearer during a difficult phase of my life.

There were challenges. There were things I desperately wanted to change. I tried everything I could think of. I kept going, even when I faced rejection.

I didn’t give up.

But after doing everything I could, I reached a point where I realised:

I had done my part.

So I surrendered the outcome to the One I knew could do better than I could.

And perhaps that is what Samarpan means to me.

Not giving up.
Not stopping your efforts.
Not losing hope.

But giving something your best — and then trusting what happens next.

Sometimes, you have to do everything within your power and then have the faith to say:

“I’ve done my part. The rest is not in my hands.”

Leave it to God.
Leave it to the Universe.
Leave it to life.

Whatever you believe in, do your part wholeheartedly, and trust the outcome. 🤍

You can do everything “right”.

Eat well.
Exercise.
Don’t smoke.
Take care of your body.
Work hard.
Earn money.
Build a good life.

And still feel exhausted.

Because health isn’t only about what you put into your body.

It’s also about what you’re carrying in your mind.

You can look healthy on the outside
while living under constant stress on the inside.

And sometimes, that stress isn’t even about money or work.

It can be the pressure to be someone you’re not.
The need to please everyone.
The constant overthinking.
The fear of disappointing people.
The pressure to look like you have everything together.

Maybe that’s why you can have many of the things you once wanted…

…and still not feel at peace.

Maybe taking care of yourself isn’t just about building a better life.

Maybe it’s also about building a life
you don’t constantly need to escape from.
