Saturday 21st brings our annual tear-up with the Minchinhampton Tups. The battleground will be at Beckenham RFC, BR3 3RD.
The mighty KIPirS roll in at full strength, and deep enough to survive the usual mix of real and “real” injuries. Kings legends everywhere you look, and a front row dripping with riches: Byron “80 tries” Crofton, Dave “1–15” Ball, Bosun Portman, Jack McAvoy, Bilbo “Chris” Hogwood and Pinchy “Rob” Probyn.
Behind them, a turbo-charged pack and a ludicrously talented backline featuring PJ Saffer, Tom Kelly, Ceri Thomas, George Wagg, Dan Marland, Chris McKeand, Russ “revolving door” Avery (all the way from the USA), Antivirus on the wing and Gummy Trounce covering everything else. Capt Groundhog sticks to pork-scratching boat-race duties.
Minch nicked it late last time with some fresh 1s. Not this time.
