Sultan Al Thani won gold in the British Schools Judo Championships 2026.
06/03/2026 - 08/03/2026, members of the Judo Club travelled to compete in the British Schools Judo Championships, the most competitive event in the school judo calendar, attracting strong entries from across the country.
The highlight of the weekend came in the Senior +90kg category. Captain Sultan Al-Thani progressed through a format of two pools followed by semi-finals and a final, winning impressively with a mixture of ippon throws and a strong hold-down. In the final he produced a calm and mature performance, giving little away and winning with two well-executed waza-ari scores.
Sultan Al Thani is listed as a competitor in the
Years 12-13 Male / +90 kg category for the 2026 British Schools Judo Championships, representing Harrow School and the Northern Home Counties. Sultan Al Thani was registered for the +90kg category.
Note: There is a previous record of Sultan Al Thani winning a gold medal at the British Schools Judo Championships in 2024.
