This week I was in a session with a client, we were discussing an event that she has coming up and is preparing for.

Although she knew roughly where to start, she was struggling to visualise what the final outcome would be. So I asked her:

Blue sky thinking, what would you do if you had all the money in the world? 💰

And her whole energy shifted, she got excited, all the different things she could do started to come out and most of them weren’t even blue sky thinking, just options she hadn’t considered. It changed her whole perspective and we finished with a ton of new options to go and investigate.

It was amazing to see this shift in her and the boost that this different perspective gave her ✨

What does self care look like to you?

Is it face masks and spa days? Is it fifteen minutes of being able to read your book in peace? Is it the nicer brand of tea bags? Maybe it’s all of the above.

We all have different expectations and levels of self care. Over the past few years, the concept of self care has become very trendy but it’s actually vital.

By being kind to ourselves and making sure that we’re taking the time to make sure our needs aren’t just met, but are actually considered a priority, we’re looking after ourselves and our mental health.

When you’re juggling multiple responsibilities, life, time, work, it can be hard to find some ‘you time’ in your day but dedicating just 15 minutes of your day to you and protecting that time will make such a difference to your mental and physical health.

For me, I’ve recently been taking the time to carefully consider my meals. Taking the time to prep ingredients, cooking with intention and plating up like I’m a fancy restaurant.

Food and I have had a complicated relationship, so choosing to reframe my associations and taking the time to make myself nice meals feels good to me.

I had so many places that I went to find clarity in London, but we've not explored Weston as much as we probably thought we would, even though we've been here two years. ⠀

But this is one of my favourite walks to find some joy and space for reflection in Weston. I love to wander from the Grand Pier, along the sand (shoes optional!) and around the coast, down the steps, along the walkway with the waves lapping at your feet and towards the old, burnt-out pier, which you can just see in the distance of this photo. ⠀
