ABOUT OMOMUKI 趣

Omomuki (趣) is a Japanese word that evokes the atmosphere, mood, and subtle flavour of a place or moment.

In an increasingly chaotic and fragmented world, OMOMUKI 趣 offers a creative space to explore what it means to be human.

Working online with people wherever they are in the world, the program invites you to explore your inner landscape and your relationship with the wider world through your chosen creative expression.

Together, we cultivate sensitivity, presence, and the subtle art of truly inhabiting our senses.

Through various arts and mindful attention, we deepen our connection with body, mind, imagination, and the living world, discovering a more peaceful and creative way of being.

‘OMOMUKI 趣 is rooted in my lifelong research, teaching and practice in Deep Ecology, Art, Dance, Philosophy, and Psychotherapy.

‘More than a therapeutic program, OMOMUKI 趣 is a daily way of being: a way of creativity, ecological awareness, and existential inquiry, beyond dogma.

‘A Way that continues to help me find beauty, meaning, and moments of peace amidst uncertainty. This I call:
THE DELICIOUS DELIGHT OF LIVING

‘No previous experience in art is needed.

We begin with Beginner’s Mind.’

MY DANCE, ART THERAPY, DAILY LIVING:-

Dance, Photography, Film, other Art, Yoga, Meditation and Deep Ecology is my Way; my life research. I call this:
THE DELICIOUS DELIGHT OF LIVING.

In dance, film and other art, I find some peace, some stillness in impermanence and crisis: personal crisis, crises of my clients in psychotherapy, crises of the Earth.

In this Way I may savor and creatively respond to 趣 OMOMUKI: meaning “atmospheres, deep flavors and tastes of space”

This is a Way of surviving and somehow thriving in a chaotic “profoundly sick society” - from Jiddu Krishnamurti.

In this way with mindfulness and self-compassion, I “praise my shadows” and honor my “dark side”.

This Way is core to my approach to Art, Dance and Play Therapy; as well as ecotherapy and water therapy. I see not simply a person’s “disorder” but the entirety of the challenges of them being in a turbulent, impermanent world.

I help people cultivate the interconnectedness of body, mind and wider world.

I support people to find greater peace, belonging, connection, creativity and meaningful being.

In the Realm of the Senses
THE DELICIOUS DELIGHT OF RESTAURANT POTONG

Delightful cuisine, drinks, music,

Sublime design, atmosphere & hospitality

Exquisite attention to detail

at:
RESTAURANT POTONG
O***M BAR

The genius of Potong and O***m is the totality of the experience in which every facet and each person plays their part and is interconnected.

Dining at Restaurant Potong is a deeply intimate experience where one enters the cocoon of Chef Pam and her family around simple delights of living.

This experience wonderfully involves the history of the building, which was once a pharmacy of Chinese medicine, and the history of the family.

There is fine attention to creating an experience that intoxicatingly engages all the senses.

For example:
The unique card I am given on arrival, with prints of a sensuous painting by a close figure to Chef Pam, that stimulates the imagination alongside equally sensuous food.

This card is accompanied by a letter of appreciation by her to her grandparents who gave her the building.

Thank you Chef Pam and all your team

Thank you DJ Justin M for the music
