we are THRILLED to be a part of this incredible day of Pride celebrations - entirely free from pink-washing and corpo sponsors 🤢

this day will be SO Q***R - centring community, grassroots drag, shared rage, and organising for our futures

think workshops, jumble sale, tarot, crafts, resources for organising and community care, music, clothes swaps - and of course a cabaret and after party to get sweaty and boogie together 💃🪩🕺

we'll be about selling our wares from 3pm - 7pm, as well as hosting a collective zine-making space throughout the day ! come by and contribute to our small piece of q***r history, an archive of the day and of us and what q***rness and community means to you ✨️ you can make a page, or add a picture you like to a background, or just come and have a quiet moment and take in the day 🌈

all the links will be on our linktree v soon for all you organised q***rs out there 🫡 for the rest of you chaotic bunch, we'll try n remind ya closer to each month as well ! (altho we're ADHD too, so, good luck to us all)

this will continue to be a FREE offering to come and craft and hang out in a lowkey sorta way ✨️

any/all donations through tickets and/or custom MQ ScrapPacks will be donated to Lex's top surgery fundraiser ~ anything you can offer, even if it's £1 per session, really truly adds up and makes all the difference!

🌀 oh hi there 👋

thought i'd re-introduce myself since we're running some more workshops

im lex, they/them, co-founder of ManosQueer, all-round artiste, creative, and amateur messy maker 😁

it was beth that got me into scrapbooking in 2024 and ive been hooked ever since !

im a crafty kinda guy and have always loved crafts and art forms that are tactile and keep my hands as busy as my brain, so i found scrapbooking all kinds of satisfying - from tearing up Good Bits to finding the perfect colours that go together to just the right spot for that fun business card ive been holding onto for 3 years 😅

i get my magpie tendencies from my mum, and the nostalgic in me loves scrapbooking as a way to keep memories, moments, average days, special dates, and as a way to make messily for the sake of making

it's helped me A Lot with moving through the perfectionist mindset, the urge to keep nice things Nice and not touch them or use them Ever ~ ive appreciated the challenge and the invitation to let some whimsy back into my life and cultivate a playfulness and a release of precious-ness that has felt really freeing, actually

anyway, i love it, and the aforementioned magpie tendencies (it's NOT hoarding) has led to an abundance of materials and resources and excellent bits that i would love to share with you !!
(as well as some original MQ prints and stickers if you fancy a scrapack 👀)

🍓 hello!!

i'm beth, and i'm running the MQ x TAC scrapbooking workshops alongside lex 🥹🥰 thought it'd be nice to introduce myself innit

i started my first scrapbook back in 2024 as a way to have an easy, low stakes, tear-it-up and see what sticks kinda creative outlet, since i was missing that space in the rest of my life. and this is what scrapbooking has continued to be for me: space for memories, keepsakes, a place to put my thoughts and plans and to do lists, tarot readings and interview prep, alongside things i think are PRETTY and COLOURFUL! that i wanna tear up and make something new out of! and now it has become such a staple for me and my brain and artistic practice

well hello !! s'been a hot sec

we've been hibernating over winter for reeeeeal

Spring is around the corner team, we've made it through the darkest part of the year 🌑 trees are turning green, snowdrops and croci and daffodils are colouring the ground, and the sun is making its gentle return 🌤💐🐞

and so are we !! the wheels are still slowly turning at MQ HQ, and we're hoping to be back with some offerings veeeeery soon - so watch this space !

and for now, enjoy this very orange scrap spread i made the other day 🧡
ive been feeling like ive lost my scrapping moxy, so it was nice to enjoy making this one and be proud of how it turned out!

ive also realised orange is my favourite colour 🥹 so that's nice
