Trailing Choice FC 2–0 in the First Half, with the game slipping away, it looked like a comeback was out of reach. But then the Lions found their rhythm. One spark turned into momentum, and momentum became belief. Optimum pressed with purpose, attacked with hunger, and refused to be written off.

When the final whistle blew, they had overturned the damage to win 4–2, completing a comeback that will echo in Owo long after the match ended.

After a brutal beginning to the NLO 2026 season, the Lions of Owo Kingdom, Optimum Fc are refusing to let disappointment define their story.

Today, in Week 2 against Choice FC, the Lions will bring a different mindset: hunger fueled by what they know they can become. The defeat hasn’t broken their spirit, it has only turned up the urgency in every training session, every tackle, every run.
