Hand wraps or inner gloves — which one does your hand actually need? Wraps give you adjustable support and wrist protection, inner gloves are faster to put on and easier to wash. Our guide breaks down when each makes sense so your knuckles and wrists stay protected.

Not all boxing gloves are built for the same job. Bag gloves protect your hands for pad and heavy bag work, sparring gloves add extra padding to protect your training partner, and competition gloves are lighter and made for the ring. Our full UK guide breaks down the weight, padding and use-case differences so you don't turn up with the wrong pair.

Boxing Gloves vs MMA Gloves: Power Behind the Punch 08/08/2026

Boxing gloves or MMA gloves — which one do you actually need? 🥊
Short version: boxing gloves are bigger (8–20oz), fully enclose the hand, and are built to protect you through hundreds of punches. MMA gloves are lighter (4–6oz), leave your fingers free, and are designed for grappling as well as striking.
Neither is "better" — they're built for different jobs. We break down the full history, safety differences, and how to choose in our latest guide 👇

Front squats hit different when you’ve got the right tool. That’s why I am using the RDX sandbag.

Here’s what I’m running: 4 sets of 8-10 reps, heels elevated. This setup forces your quads to work harder because your centre of gravity shifts forward. No cheating. No momentum. Just pure leg development.

The sandbag isn’t stable like a barbell. It shifts. Your core has to compensate. Your stabiliser muscles fire up. You’re not just getting stronger — you’re building real, functional strength that transfers to life outside the gym.

Beginners, listen: elevated heels + front squat position = quad-dominant rep. You’ll feel the burn in the right place. Your knees stay safer because the angle is more forgiving than a flat-footed approach. The sandbag forces controlled movement. You can’t rush it.

This is the equipment I use. This is the equipment we stock at RARP-ID because it works. No nonsense. No gimmicks. Just results.
