Little round up of this month’s outgoings 🦜
Stephanie is on her second custom build with us..last year we built her that lovely De♥️Rosa road bike..2026 is the year of the 26er tho..
Welcome to the clan..
What else is it the year of?
GT mania, undoubtedly! Triple triangle-outposts you name it..there’s no stopping this trend! Ppl coming in with their latest finds…wanting stuck seatposts , stuck crank sets and dodgy stems removed..
The Saracen Ruff Trax is off to a new home..
Frosty eyed Mr.H is now basically part of the team..
What else..
That lovely HardRock is already being shredded in Epping forest..loved that one!
The Rune!! I know it’s a new bike and all..but man fell in love proper the other day..and so did I! What a build if I may say so..
Lastly we had a pair of blues leave the shop..
A neo retro Peugeot rebuild and a Diamond Back with super far hookworms!
A few more I can’t find photos of..but this should do it for now.
Hope you enjoy the selection 👊🏽

It was Wednesday evening, bout 6pm..Gary and I was just closing up shop.
It was time to decide what whip to take for BITW. Thursday would have been prep and rest day..before Fridays departure..so it was crunch time!
I had three solid choices..that new Staytb! Yea..maybe, but it was a bit shiny and I wasn’t sure I was ready to get technical with the friction shifting (maybe next year - I chickened out basically)..
Then there was My trusted Serotta T-Max which had carried me over the Dorset hills last year with zero complaints..or, if I dared…my other Stayer. The urban one with slicks. Had ordered some grungier Terravail tyres for it…but wasn’t sure whether A. They’d fit and B, whether carbon forking it was a smart one for the rocky terrain…
We had it on the bike stand…ready to try tyre clearances..then like a eureka, in the corner of my eye I glimpsed upon the Rune Rufus Stone Ash had sent me…
Gary and I turned to each other at the same time, we knew what was about to happen..
In the next hour and a half we gently rushed to building it up from scratch…stole bits from this one, stole bits from that one…oh one inch threaded headset? No problem, that carbolite treks got the ticket..(bit of vintage)..stem? Always keep a Deda goose stem at hand..bosh, that means we can fit a Stridsland anchor bar (shimmed ofc)!
The rest is kinda history..a little emergency next day delivery thru axle shim adapter and bobs your uncle!
I’m gonna keep it 100! I could have done with a smaller chainring up front, and a bigger plate at the back..(I now know why one might want a screen on the shifters)..but, hey that’s what I had at a moments notice.
It’s the excitement of a new bike I was chasing. And that rewarded me plenty! I even marched up that traitorous stone climb up to that steel gate (those who know know) in one go 💪🏽🙂↕️
It’s lighter, wavier and BLACk! My first ever black bike…not that it matters, but it kinda does tho 🇲🇼love it 🖤
It will defo see some changes as I begin to incorporate it in my rotation..
Gotta make sure my other babies don’t feel left out. So back on the Serotta today 🥰
Open today 12-4

We finally built a Rufus✨
-
I wanted to get my hands on one for quite some time but it never quite materialised.
Then in the space of a couple of days..I got asked to build one for a client..then got one my self. To be revealed real soon..Thanks Ash 🙏🏽
So what’s the deal with Rune? (For those who may not know).
Well in my eyes it represents the past meeting the future in the most elemental way. It’s a Gravel I guess..
You’ve got a 1inch steerer which takes a quill stem on one hand (reminiscent of yesteryears classic aesthetic and handling) and on the other hand thru axles and disc! And if that wasn’t enough. You’ve got humongous tyre clearance!
The best of both worlds: the quintessential bike geometry of a 80s/90s road bike mixed in with that new new big bike tyre energy! And you can go 650b as well as how we run it, 700c/29.
Doesn’t feel that dirty to call this a gravel!
Helps that it’s supremely beautiful- and that mustard yellow is straight from a Cadillacs interior! Or a pootietang movie scene.
Smooth to look at, smooth to ride and smooth to build up.
I really enjoyed playing with the handlebar tape configuration…a nod to that saddle in many ways..but also a way to give the hands different sensations depending on the riding position..those Rune Hilt bars that I also used on my neon demon Stayer have so much real estate and it felt preposterous not to make the most of it.
GRX on the comms..yup not bad..and to lighten the mood in case it started feeling all too serious we matched a parts bin veloce crank that so serendipitously welcomed a Stridsland chairing with open arms…just like Italians usually do!
I can’t imagine a better commuter..that will also be a bad ass when out in the sticks! So many mounts for accessories that you thought it was the Himalayan ridge.
Like London’s weather patterns where you get all four seasons in a span of 10min.. hail, rain, overcast and sunshine, a rune can be built in many different ways..and with this I’ll leave you.
Mines next, flipped the script on its head!
Anyways
Thanks for looking 👀

All fawning over 10th anniversary’s Brother in the wild this weekend, can’t wait for a little digital detoxing and wild riding down the coast of Dorset 🌿
just put this little Kona together for it…proper ripper! Just hope your 1x8 will suffice…Nicks bringing the mini velo, pure jokes..And papa Tony his Beachcomber, pure stokes! Im however still unsure about which bike to bring..🤷🏽♂️but I’ll think of something..
All the meanwhile trying to get as many projects out the door as possible before then.
The Rune is practically done..so is the Cannondale for Stephanie..a couple GTs in the works but that will probably spill over to next week.
And in case you had plans about visiting the shop, we’re open today but closed this Saturday. Cheerio

It’s bike season..everyone wants one..no time for content of me ripping around the city, no „how to“ reels..or sliding my wheels on the road to test the carbon content..I’m „content“ with closing my self in the workshop and letting the work do the talking..and if the lights right..take pictures of what I’ve made.
The latest offering is a Specialized HARDROCK SPORT..remember those? Sorry it’s not a GT.
This one came to me by way of Alex, a messenger who only rides fixed (time pedals a clue)..
Bike was completely stock…and almost untouched..if there’s scratches on it is because I’ve put them there 🙂↕️
She wanted to give her knees a holiday, with lots of gearing, upright riding position and the possibility to go beyond the urban landscape with it..bim boom bosh..gave this wine colored specimen the upgrade treatment with a brand new cues groupset, chainring, saddle and sunsets?sunrise? Never know which is which…but yea, one of those..not however before loosing some sleep over how to attach them..I’m fairly anti stem converter..mostly because of looks..don’t particularly like the noise in the upper headset area with a gazillion different shapes stealing your gazing attention..luckily, I picked up this bmx quill stem at the last jumble..and it’s just what the doctor ordered!
We may have converted another one 💪🏽
