I made a promise to myself this week to spend time every day prioritising myself. It may look different each day, but today I need some rest, ease and replenishment - so this is what it looks like for me!
If you were to make that promise to yourself, what it would look like to you?
If you ignore the โto-doโ list for just a moment and gave yourself 10, 30 mins or an hour just for you??
Stop, take a breath, tune in, ask yourself โwhat do I really want right now?โ, and listen for the answer.
Thatโs the easy bitโฆ the harder bit is to then surrender and actually do it.
Please give this to yourself this weekend and let me know how it feels afterwards?

EVIDENCE!
I have now been scanning myself consistently for a month and had a serious virus and poor health.
BUT for the first time I am been able to track my health no just based on how I feel but from taking real readings of my antioxidant and nutritional health. And the corrolation is no surprise!
I have also had an insight to the antibiotics I haven't taken and how it has impacted my immunity. Scanning myself with this nutritional device has given me a real opporuntiy for personal responsibility of my health.
You could do the same for the yourself and your families.

๐ญ๐ฐ/๐ฎ - Score platues consistently at around 800.
๐ญ๐ณ/๐ฎ - On set of symptoms. I was sent to A&E by our on set medic. Doctor confirmed Respiratory virus and prescribed antibiotics.
๐ฎ๐ฌ/๐ฎ - Day 3 in hotel room - virus at worst. Score drops to 670.
๐ฎ๐ฐ/๐ฎ - Day 7 of Antibiotic course. Wiped out immunity and onset of another immunity disease. Score dropped further to 600 and stayed there for a week.
๐ฎ๐ฑ/๐ฎ - ๐ญ/๐ฏ - Aftermath of depleted immune system... reduced score to 600 and health.
This tiny device is tracking in real-time evidence what my body is experiencing and my levels of health!

Today is the Global Day of Unplugging - Which encourages us to unplug from screens for 24 hours, encouraging real-life connection, mindfulness and healthier digital habits.
Can you unplug for just one day over the weekend perhaps? I am going to try... I will let you know (afterwards) how it goes!
When we are working it is critical to be connected, but when we reach our down-time in the evenings, weekends and holidays, what would it take to put our devices down and reduce screen time?
I know for me, it is second nature to take my phone everywhere, even at home from room to room (even the bathroom I must admit!). It becomes second nature to check it when I am off the working clock. But when I was younger I could happily enjoy my time with friends, familty, activities and hobbies without even thinking about a phone. What has changed?!
Today is a lovely reminder to enjoy your real-life as well as work connections and have a digital reset as regularly as you can.
I do understand that nowadays phones especially are more than a communication device, but it is a greater reason to create forced time-out to unplug, and come back to yourself.
In the next couple of weeks I will be starting my yoga classes again, the irony is that these are online... BUT... they give you the chance to switch off and disconnect from anything else except from yourself and your practise. The classes are the container of time and space to go within, find yourself to reset and relax. Please get in touch if you are interested to join me!

It is World Wildlife Day today!
Taking a little walk outdoors is a chance to celebrate our animals and plants, and recognise the unique roles and contributions of wildlife to our people and planet. And it is also a reminder that resource extraction and land use place growing pressure on biodiversity.
Remember to protect the wildlife in your corner of the planet, wherever you are!

Dr. Seuss Day I am thinking of 'Oh The Places You'll Go!' - This is hands down my favourite book since I was a child.
I love Dr. Seuss stories as they are so inspirational, creative and imaginative. Since being little they have been able to stretch my mind beyond what I could think is possible in life and the universe!
These are books every child should read and keep on the shelf as an adult... and re-read over and over, especially at times that reality feels limited and dull to open up the possibilities again!
I am picking up my copy again today, can't wait!

Last year I worked on a project called 'The Herds' that had an incredible message of how climate is affecting animals and they are the first species to react to the changes through migration. As part of that project we put on some major events in London and which highlightedto me how much of an issue Air pollution is.
We are working hard to reduce emissions and air pollution, by pedestrianising high streets, create car-free areas and temporary closures across Camden, Shoreditch, Brixton; and future plans to pedestrianise Oxford Street.
To take control of what you can, and improve the air quality in your house, buy a pollution fighting plant (spider plant, peace lily, snake plant)!
Even better to know that air pollution is free radicals that are affecting us via our skin, eyes, noses, mouths that are attacking our bodies, effectively breaking down our cells and promoting aging and celluar stress. To combat this, we can also increase our antioxidant reserves in the body which is the key to fighting the free radicals! I have been introduced to this incredible tool that can give me an actual reading of my antioxdant score in my body right now, and from there, I can make changes internally and externally to protect myself against these free radicals.

National Battery Day - This recognises the invention, convenience, and crucial role of batteries in modern life. Since they were invented on 18 February 1800, Battery's are now coming in all shapes and sizes...
This might be a strange thing to talk about but in my role doing sustainability on film productions, I talk about batteries so much and they are fast becoming the alterantive to generator and traditional options.
However, batteries can still be a contraversial subject because of what they are made from, the methods to get the materials, how they are charged and disposed of,.. which can beg the question about how sustainable they are.
But, my response is that we are getting further forward, even when the solution isn't perfect. Science is experimenting, the first invention was far from perfect but in 1800 it had to start somewere and can you imagine a world today without battery power? We use them in most things, imagine not having a phone or computer or car?!!!
It just goes to show how much has happen in just over 200 years, imagine what things will look like in another 200?!
