Looking to level up your off-piste skiing?
Our Ski Performance for Mountaineers course in Chamonix has been running since 2007 and keeps growing for a reason. It’s all about one thing: skiing better in real mountain conditions.
No avalanche lectures.
No uphill skinning.
Just focused, practical coaching to help you move with confidence and control off-piste.
Over four half-day sessions (with a rest day in the middle), you’ll work on the skills that actually matter - skiing smoothly through trees, handling steeps with composure, staying balanced in bumps, coping with firm or icy snow, and yes… even mastering crust. When the powder arrives, you’ll be ready for that too.
Originally designed for mountaineers, the course now attracts guides, ski tourers and strong recreational skiers - anyone motivated to improve and be part of a supportive, like-minded group.
Morning or afternoon sessions leave you time to practise, consolidate and enjoy the mountain.
2026–27 Dates:
7–11 Dec (6 places left)
14–18 Dec (4 places left)
4–8 Jan (3 places left)
18–22 Jan (6 places left)
15–19 Mar (6 places left)
Small groups. Enthusiastic coaching. Real progression.

The holiday crowds have drifted home. The pistes are quieter. The light is brighter. The snow is still deep and playful. Now it’s time to focus on you.
Join our expert team at BASS Chamonix and take your off-piste skiing to the next level in the legendary terrain of Chamonix.
March offers the perfect training ground. Firm morning corduroy sharpens your edge control. Softening snow by late morning lets you explore flow and rhythm. Just beyond the piste, variable terrain gives you real mountain feedback — the ideal classroom for refining technique with purpose.
This is where confidence is built.
Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, you’ll:
Fine-tune your downhill technique
Develop control and fluidity in mixed snow
Master balance and line choice in variable conditions
Build the skills and mindset you need for ski touring season
Every run becomes intentional. Every turn has feedback. Every tip and tactic is practiced immediately, right where it matters — on the mountain.
With longer days, reliable conditions, and space to breathe, March is the moment to invest in your skiing.
Step beyond the piste.
Refine your skills.
Prepare for the backcountry.
This is your time.
