Our home grown talent Ida Oksanen and Emil Oksanen are heading to the IIHF World juniors representing GB in their respective categories.
Ida, a formidable netminder, travels to Poland with Great Britain ahead of the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship. And her brother Emil Oksanen, a versatile defender, currently playing with Steeldogs, is part of the GB U20 Man’s squad at the U20 World Championship in Romania.

We are all incredibly proud and can’t wait to cheer you up this week. Best of luck to you and the team. Go show the world what you are made off. 💪 👏 🍀

We wish Rachael and Leon every success as they represent England and continue their development at the highest level of age-group hockey.

🌍 From Streatham to Canada: Matthew Kauer’s Hockey Journey 🇨🇦

Living his Canadian academy dream, Matthew Kauer’s path has been anything but ordinary.

Starting his hockey life in Hong Kong, he moved to London and joined Streatham, where he built his strength, pushed his limits, and unlocked his skating ability. As an offensive defenceman, he trained relentlessly and made lifelong friends along the way.

Matty went on to represent the UK at U14 and U16 level, competing against some of the best European and American players in international tournaments.

Today, he plays for Epic Academy in London, Ontario, travelling across Canada and the USA to compete in elite showcases and tournaments — proving exactly what he’s capable of.

His journey shows that players from “small” hockey nations and clubs like Streatham can go far with the right coaching, belief, and support behind them. And we couldn’t be prouder.

Keep shining in Canada, Matty — you carry Streatham pride with you everywhere you go. ❤️🖤

Two of our Streatham Youth players continue to make waves as they step up into the women’s game with Storm 🏒🔥

💫 Ida – who first joined Streatham at just 4 years old – has already built a reputation as a talented goalie. But this season she showed her versatility, pulling on a Storm Elite jersey as a player for the first time… and scoring! A proud moment that shows how far she’s come through dedication and love of the game.

💫 Rachel – also proudly representing Streatham Youth – made her adult league debut with Storm D1. Incredibly, after playing three back-to-back games that day, she still found the energy and determination to score her team’s only goal. What a debut performance!

Both girls continue to play with Streatham Youth, inspiring the next generation and proving that the journey from our club to the highest levels of women’s hockey is real.

After two successful seasons in Kiekko-Espoo, Finland 🇫🇮, we are beyond proud to welcome back our very own Emil Oksanen — a true homegrown product of Streatham Youth Ice Hockey.

Emil’s journey is an incredible one:
🏒 Starting right here in Streatham youth
🏆 Representing his country with Team GB, becoming both U16 and U18 National Champion
🌍 Competing with Kiekko-Espoo, Finland’s most successful junior programme, producing tens of NHL alumni

Now Emil takes the next step in his career, studying and competing within the Steelers organisation — one of the highest levels of British ice hockey 🇬🇧 For us in Streatham, it’s a moment of pride — proof that our players can go from local rinks to the national stage and beyond.

His story is a reminder that with the right support, strong coaching, and our community behind them, Streatham players can achieve the very top — from national jerseys to international ice.

Congratulations to our player Leon Marshall representing England this weekend in Belgium with the England U14 team who came back undefeated from the first Four Nations tournament in Belgium:

We are really proud of how hard Leon has worked, joining our club as a beginner at U12. He started training with England this past season and has now made the first team.

A couple weeks ago, our U16, U14, and U12 teams hit the ice in Telford for an exciting end-of-season tournament — and every single team made it to the semi-finals! 💥👊🏻 Incredible effort, teamwork, and passion from our players.

Meanwhile, our U10s were making magic happen in Bristol — and guess what? They brought home the WIN! Huge congratulations to the youngest stars of our club!

A massive shoutout and thank you to the hosts at and in Bristol for putting on such well-organised and welcoming events. Your efforts made it a weekend to remember! 👏

This tournament wasn’t just the season finale — for some, it marked a special milestone. We’ve watched players grow in confidence, skill, and character, and now a few are moving on to new chapters. 🚀 It’s been a joy to see their development, and we’re excited to see what comes next!
