Team UK continues to build momentum as they prepare for WorldSkills Shanghai, known as the ‘skills Olympics’, this September.
This week, Patrick and Caolan, Team UK’s Industry 4.0 competitors, took part in the Taipei Capital Cup, while Shelby also showcased her skills in Painting and Decorating. Meanwhile, Madeleine, who competes in Renewable Energy, travelled to Canada for an international pressure test.
These experiences are invaluable in helping competitors build confidence, benchmark their skills internationally, and perform under pressure ahead of Shanghai. The advanced technical skills, resilience, and professionalism developed through this training can also be taken back into their workplaces, helping to drive skills excellence across their industries.
