How to make breathwork work for you 🗣️ Today is so what better time than now to highlight the importance of breathwork and the impact it can have on our health and wellbeing 🌿
Studies have shown that when we keep our breathing within a specific range, which is generally between 4-10 breaths per minute, our breathing creates a resonance effect between our mind, heart and breath.
This bring not only bring our nervous system into balance, but it also stimulates our body’s natural rest and recovery mode. This is where our body repairs itself from the wear and tear caused by operating in ‘fight or flight’ and helps it recharge.
Unfortunately, in our modern life we are so used to operate in stress (aka ‘fight or flight) mode that we need to take active steps stimulating our natural rest and recovery mode.
This is where breathwork comes in.

However you decide to manage your menopausal symptoms, it's important that you're aware that all the symptoms you're experiencing are preventable and that no woman needs to go through it alone.
With the right tools, I believe that we can make perimenopause and menopause a more enjoyable time of life, and we can embrace the changes instead of dreading them.

The way that we begin our morning can have a big impact on our mood and productivity for the rest of the day.
Unless you’re lucky enough to be a natural morning person, leaving your bed to face the hectic first hour of the day can be a struggle - especially at this time of year.
You may be keen to get a few more minutes of sleep or catch up with social media scrolling and as a result, we’re often left in a rush. This stress is not the best way to set yourself up for a happy and productive day, so here are some simple ways to restore calm and order to your mornings 👉🏽
🌟 Save this to refer back to later or next time you're having a stressful morning.

There are certain daily practices that are good for a calm and positive mood: Exercise regularly. Meditate. Eat nourishing foods. Turn off unnecessary notifications 📱
Done consistently, those all help manage our baseline levels of anxiety so that daily stressors don’t push us past our limits so easily.
But in moments of sudden overwhelm - perhaps work is piling up quickly, or you’ve found yourself in a busy, crowded place and have been pushed out of your comfort zone - it can help to have some stress-reducing techniques in your pocket.
It's never too late to learn Breathwork. When used effectively it can:
- Ground yourself and focus your mind in mere minutes, whenever and wherever needed
- Calm a busy mind
- Effectively manage stress, anxiety, fear throughout the day
- Focus your attention and minimise the effect of distractions
- Bring more of self-compassion and self-care
- Gain awareness of and break ‘trigger-stress/anxiety’ cycle
- Notice and bring more positives and joy
- Establish a sense of mind-balance connection and balance
- Be more resilient and flexible to better manage uncertainties and change
- Be confident that whatever your day and work throws at you, you can manage and respond accordingly
What do you find it most effective for? 😊

Do you know what happens when you let stress build up? SWIPE to view the bucket 🪣💧
This is a great way to recognise the parts of your life that are affecting your mood and what changes you can make to help you juggle stress better.
Imagine that the bucket represents you and its water represents those things that you are dealing with in life.
It may help you to consider more carefully how full your bucket is and how full other peoples buckets are.
Is your bucket currently full? Perhaps its spilling over? Maybe that's why you reacted to something this morning in a way that you now regret.
To pierce some holes in the bottom of your bucket, you could try:
🌿 Go for a walk
🌿 Meet up with a friend
🌿 Do something kind for someone else
🌿 Talk to your friends, family, colleagues
🌿 Practice mindfulness and make it a habit
🌿 Do something you love and schedule it in so that you make time.
🌿 Learn how to integrate Breathwork exercises into your day
🌿 Try some journalling
🌿 Read a book
How is your bucket feeling?

I am super excited to announce that MINDERFUL, a unique mental health app, I have been supporting as Head of Breathwork and Mindfulness launched this week.
It’s ALREADY trending on the App Store and being promoted by Apple, having only just launched. Amazing.
Minderful offers a unique insight into and tools for looking after our minds – based on activities and variety.
It offers bitesize audio clips to make it easy to explore mental fitness ideas and why they are good for you – all backed by science.
Allowing you to find inspirations, try and build a mental fitness routine that is unique to you.
Of course, there is a community of like-minded individuals, sharing their experiences and cheering each other on.
Like me, the three founders of this amazing app – Nick, James and Ed – had lived experiences of mental health. And like me, they have each overcome their own challenges through the power of doing.
They turned their experiences into a creative force behind Minderful, helping people get back into the real world and change the way they look after their minds.
Thank you for inviting me be part of the team and support the growth of this community through Breathwork and Mindfulness.
Are you ready to find inspirations to build your unique mental fitness routine?
Head to @ minderful_com (iOS link in bio) or AppStore to download Minderful.
We can't wait to hear what you think of the app.

If you're looking for a resolution that will move you towards a happier, healthier and more fulfilled life in 2022 and beyond, here are 5 to add to your list 👉🏻

2021 has been an interesting year full of challenges, changes and lots of achievements.
This year I am thankful for:
- Being published in many publications including Telegraph, the Guardian, Ok!, Sheerlux, Daily Mirror.
- Having worked with over 85 new clients through breathwork and mindfulness helping them to achieve their goals from managing menopause, alleviating anxiety, preventing burnout, turning insomnia into optimal sleep, tackling fatigue and brain fog.
- Working with over 10 new corporate clients offering bespoke mindfulness and breathwork workshops and trainings in different sectors such as finance, wellness and technology, including Google.
- My 1st consultancy project with an exclusive skincare brand for the spa industry, where I incorporated breathwork techniques into their treatment menu and trained spa professionals.
This is the first time, breathwork is being incorporated into treatments we receive in spas and I am so thankful that I was the one taking this step.
- For the 1st time presenting in a festival. Leading breathwork workshops for large groups of amazing people.
- Having resilience and compassion to meet many health challenges I have faced, which disabled me from my work and daily life, with self-kindness
- Health and Wellbeing of my family and friends; and my mum gracefully and successfully weathering a serious illness.
This year, I will spend Christmas at home with my family.
But Christmas is a time for me to reflect on the past year and connect to my deepest emotions.
I will start my Christmas day early with my morning breathwork and meditation.
Then I will write my journal, followed by a short walk by the river in solitude.
Then back home just in time for breakfast and opening the presents.
I invite you to reflect too and celebrate yourself, your achievements and show compassion to yourself if you have not achieved what you set out to do. You tried and worked hard. That is all matters.
I wish you a merry Christmas, full of love, laughter and joy ✨

As much fun as this time of year is, we often put our own needs to the bottom of our list of priorities as our diaries fill with family events and festivities.
December is a busy time for many at work and combined with the increase in late nights, party planning and alcohol consumption, it can have an impact on our mental health and wellbeing and could even result in burnout before January hits.
To have the tools readily available to help you manage stress and anxiety, your breathing is your biggest ally.
Simply by consciously controlling your breathing – changing its depth, pace and rhythm – you can hack into your nervous system taking control of your physical and mental state of being. Through breathing, you have the tools to turn stress into relaxation, anxiety into calm and fatigue into energy.
Here are three easy and science-backed breathing practices to find your mojo this party season and keep stress to a minimum 👉🏻

Are you walking around in discomfort?
What I mean by this is, if you are going through life whilst suffering with:
❌ Brain fog
❌ Anxiety
❌ Depression
❌ Burnout
❌ Fear and trauma
❌ Fatigue
❌ Anger and irritability
❌ Insomnia
you are quite literally walking around in a state of discomfort.
When we have a pain or medical symptom, we go to our doctors to seek help and advice, so why don't we give the same level of care and attention to our minds?
These are a few of my favourite ways that breathwork can help support us and overcome issues such as anxiety, depression, burnout and fatigue.
Do you look after your mind? 👇🏼
