Kashiwa Dojo members Abdul, Isa, and Will had a great time in Athens this weekend at the Fukuro Iaido Seminar. Two days of Shinkage ryu koryu and ZNKR iaido with Matsuoka Sensei, Elaine and David Sensei, and our friends from Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, France, and Germany. Huge thanks to our Greek hosts for a well run, useful, and thoroughly enjoyable event. Extra huge thanks to the kind Greek friends who drove us about all weekend, so hospitable and welcoming. Can’t wait for next year!

Will says: I had an amazing time this weekend at the NKR Summer Iaido Seminar in Eindhoven. We had a huge delegation of amazing teachers from Japan (including my own teacher, Matsuoka Sensei) and Europe. Great training, great catch-ups with friends old and new. There were around 275 attendees, a record for this event. We had insightful ZNKR training (thank you Yuki Sensei!!), intense and insightful koryu training, and a huge koryu competition. Phew! Thanks to all the teachers, organisers, helpers and particularly Elaine and David, for their care and support, and Andy and Łukasz for organising the taikai in record time and with military precision.
