Stop 5 of the BTBA Tenpintour 2026 took place at Stroud Bowl on 30 & 21 May 2026. A total of 90 senior bowlers, comprising 65 men and 25 women took part this month.

Both the mens high game was shot by Chris Skudder in game 1 with a 268 and the mens high scratch series of 1,337 was Chris’s too! Great work Chris!

The women’s high game was shot, as last time at Acocks Green, by Bev Smitheram in game 6 with a 265 and the women’s high scratch series was shot by Sally Spence with 1,180.

Throwback Thursday - 1st Triple Crown 1967 – England make a dramatic comeback

After the first days play in the Triple Crown held at Briggs Bowl, Glasgow, it was almost certain that Scotland would be the first name engraved on the new shields. England bowlers had experienced a tragic day on the lanes, and at the close on the Saturday evening, a quick count up meant the England men, to win the title, had to win each event on the Sunday, and at this point, this appeared to be asking for a miracle.
