Okay, so Iâve seen âI Make Envy on Your Discoâ by â and published by â described as a coming-of-middle-age story. This feels pretty accurate. I loved this book, not only because Iâm drawn to stories about how we can run from, reassess, and rediscover our lives at any damn age we please.
The descriptions of Berlin are so evocative. There were plenty of moments when I remembered standing on those very same street corners and yearned to be on them again.
If you adore Berlin, like I do, youâll going to love this novel, as well as the wonderfully random, and unexpected, collection of people Sam Singer meets during his stay in the city.
âI loved this sharply observed and deeply touching book.â â
âA love letter to Berlin, to travel, and to saying yes to life.â â
