"I didn't Come To Petro Luanda 🇦🇴 To Perform Miracles in 48 hours," said the new Petro Luanda Coach Alex Santos after finding out who really Scottland FC 🇿🇼 are.

The coach for Scottland FC qualified for the 2019 / 2020 CAF Champions League Group stages with a less glamourous club called FC Platinum (Ironically beating an Angolan 🇦🇴 club Sagrada Esperanca).
The new coach for Petro de Luanda 🇦🇴 is saluted for seeing how difficult the match will be.Formed in 2023,The only thing small about Scottland FC is its age.I believe they have more money than Petro Luanda 🇦🇴 since they are building their own CAF stadium and online are the largest Zimbabwean club that keeps growing every day on social media.Scottland isn't small in pure football terms.Wise words from the coach as I hear others say they will overcome the deficit of the first leg.Thats not a small club and it won't be easy to walk over them ,even in Luanda 🇦🇴 . 🔥

Get to know Petro athletico’s emergency operator!
He coached the team into the semi’s of champions league then moved to AS Far Rabat and coached them into the final of champions league which they lost to sundowns this year! He is not an easy coach but can he do the magic in a space of 2 days?

They called them old, but Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona continue to prove that experience is priceless on the continental stage! 🇿🇼🔥

Both are among the top scorers for their respective clubs and in the league, yet they continue to deliver when the stakes are even higher. Khama’s goal and assist against Petro de Luanda — a formidable side featuring Angola internationals — is proof that class and experience never go out of fashion.
Continental football demands quality, composure and big-game mentality, almost like the demands of international football. Perhaps the two players labelled “old” are still among Zimbabwe’s finest performers when it matters most. The last time these two played together for zimbabwe they made sure qualification was guaranteed for afcon. What a generational combination we are witnessing

Khama Billiat has scored for every team he has represented in the CAF Champions League. But will his experience and impressive record in the competition help Scottland FC secure their first-ever group-stage qualification — a feat no Zimbabwean club has achieved in the past six years?

Khama Billiat’s CAF Champions League stats:
Mamelodi Sundowns: 17 games | 5 goals | 6 assists
Kaizer Chiefs: 6 games | 1 goal | 3 assists
Scottland FC: 3 games | 1 goal | 1 assist
Total: 26 games | 7 goals | 10 assists | 17 goal contributions.

Billiat has featured in two CAF Champions League finals, winning the competition with Mamelodi Sundowns before returning to the final with Kaizer Chiefs, who lost to Al Ahly. That experience could prove invaluable as Scottland FC pursue a historic place in the group stages.

But the big question is: Has Billiat hit top form at just the right time?

After seeing limited action in Scottland FC’s last seven matches, the experienced forward appears to have a point to prove. Meanwhile, Scottland have surrendered their lead at the top of the league to Hardrock FC in that time he has seen limited action
With his Champions League pedigree and ability to deliver on the biggest stage, could Billiat be the difference-maker in Scottland’s quest for continental glory? Experience matters, but now is the time to turn it into results.

KHAMA BILLIAT ROLLS BACK THE YEARS! 🇿🇼🔥
A goal, an assist and a Champions League masterclass against Petro de Luanda

When the big stage calls, experience answers. Khama Billiat delivered another reminder of his exceptional quality as Scottland FC defeated Angola's Atlético Petróleos de Luanda 2–0 in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second preliminary round tie on Sunday, 18 October 2026.
Billiat broke the deadlock in the 67th minute, finishing off a brilliant cross from substitute Walter Musona to give the Zimbabwean champions the breakthrough they desperately needed. Knowledge Musona then doubled Scottland's advantage in the 80th minute from a Khama Billiat assist as he ran from the half way line and took on 3 defenders by his side, turned them in the 18 yard area and gave the ball to knowledge Musona who was well positioned , putting the hosts in a commanding position ahead of the return leg.
What makes Billiat's contribution so significant is the composure and experience he brings to the biggest occasions. In a contest where Scottland had to remain patient against a stubborn defensive setup, the veteran forward provided the decisive moment that changed the complexion of the game.
His attacking contribution, combining a goal with an assist as you've highlighted, underlines the influence he can have beyond simply finding the back of the net. Billiat's ability to create opportunities, exploit spaces and deliver in crucial moments makes him an invaluable figure in Scottland's continental campaign.
For a club seeking to establish itself on the African stage, having a player who understands the demands of elite continental football is a major advantage. Billiat has experienced the pressures of African football at the highest level, and that pedigree could prove vital as Scottland pursue their ambitions.
The 2–0 victory gives Scottland a valuable advantage, but the job is far from finished. Petro de Luanda will have home support behind them in Angola, and Scottland must remain disciplined and focused to complete the mission.
One thing is certain: Khama Billiat continues to show why his name commands respect in African football. Zimbabwean football has a reason to celebrate when one of its most gifted players rises to the occasion on the continental stage.
