β οΈ Amber/Red Extreme Heat Alert β οΈ
π‘οΈ With high temperatures expected this week, cooling off in water may be tempting, but cold water shock can be deadly.
If you're heading to the water, take care around rivers, lakes, canals and the coast, supervise children at all times, swim at lifeguarded locations where possible, and never take unnecessary risks.
Stay safe and respect the water!

There is a reason so many adults say they wish they had learned to swim sooner.
Swimming does something for your mental health that is hard to replicate elsewhere. The rhythm of it, the focus it takes, the way everything else quiets down when you are in the water.
The hard part is getting started. Nerves and lack of confidence stop a lot of adults before they even try. Swimming lessons are there to change that, building the skill and the confidence at a pace that works for you.
This year's Mental Health Awareness Week theme is action. It is a pretty good week to take the first step.

Swimming is one of those rare things that gives back at every stage of life.
It is great for your body, but it is also genuinely good for your mind.
Starting early means children build a love of the water that stays with them as they grow, something they can always come back to.

There is something really special about watching a child find their confidence in the water.
That is honestly why we do this.
Swimtime South London is in Croydon to give local children a calm, friendly place to learn. Not just to swim, but to grow, to feel brave, and to actually enjoy being in the water.
We have had the most wonderful first week and we are just getting started. If you would like your little one to be part of it, we would love to hear from you.
Just send us a message and we can take it from there.

Wondering what a Swimtime lesson actually looks like?
It's calm, it's structured, and every child goes at their own pace.
From the moment they get in the water, there's no rushing and no pressure. We meet each child where they are and build from there. Some take to it straight away, others need a little more time, and both are completely fine with us.
Whether your little one is a complete beginner or has tried lessons before, they will be welcomed just as they are.
We are now taking bookings for Croydon. If you would like to find out more, just drop us a message and we will have a chat.
