*NCF Women's T20 Invitational Tournament 2024:*
*Ladies Patriots Depart for Lagos on Friday*
The Ladies Patriots of Sierra Leone will depart the shores of the Lion Mountain on Friday to register participation at the 2024 edition of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) Women's T20 Invitational Tournament scheduled for February 25 through March 3 at the Tawafa Balewa Square in Lagos.
The Tournament, which brings together Sierra Leone, Tanzania (debutant), Rwanda, and host Nigeria, will last for six days, entertaining 12 matches.
Sierra Leone will open the Tournament against host Nigeria. Both sides have met four times, with the Female Yellow-Greens winning three.
The country's second match will be against Rwanda, a side the Ladies have dauntingly engaged twice.
As the lawn at Tawafa Balewa Square flourishes in grace, the Ladies Patriots are reordering their charge in the new campaign, co-opting experienced gems like lawyer Linda Bull and her contemporaries.
The aim is to redefine the third place mentality under the guardianship of home-grown gaffer Sinneh Kamara.
With uncommon grit, the Ladies are invoking the spirits of NWACC where they pulled gold as three-time champions.
The Tawafa Balewa Square will be turned upside down.
