A USMC veteran sent this to me, a British Army veteran. To all people out there struggling, regardless of whether you served or not, I promise I will do my all to fight your corner. From charity work to open and honest conversations - this feels horrific to share such a personal video but not to do so would be hypocritical and antithetical to the message I try to spread. Keep fighting.
Why “MURPH”? ⬇️
A tradition amongst military personnel the world over on Memorial Day.
We do the “Murph” workout on Memorial Day to honour the ultimate sacrifice of U.S. Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy and all fallen military personnel, regardless of nationality. By enduring the physical challenge of the workout, we connect shared suffering with remembrance, and honouring those who gave everything.
The workout is named after Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who lost his life in Afghanistan, 2005. Under heavy enemy fire, he exposed himself to call for help and save his team. That call cost him everything when he was shot in the back mid-transmission. He picked the radio back up and finished the call.
He was 29 and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
Whilst he is the focal point for this workout, it serves as a reminder for all of us who lost friends during and post-conflict.
In a weighted vest:
1 mile run.
100 pull-ups.
200 push-ups.
300 squats.
1 mile run
This one’s for all of them

Makes me smile every single time I do check ins. Because I genuinely give a s**t.
No “3 months up front” or “only speak once a week at your check in”. Daily chat (if you want to), fully bespoke workouts and nutrition, and someone who actually wants you to win.
Because your success is my success.
I’m invested in myself and my own wellbeing and got my spark back. Life is never perfect, and personal development isn’t always linear, but I knew what I wanted and why. Now I have a successful business, live in an amazing place, and haven’t been this happy in years.
Finding a way to add regular challenges (physical, mental, developmental) and actively setting goals for myself in all areas brought my life back into line.
Back yourself.
