are doing a lovely campaign, ppl sharing their experiences of breast cancer, then and now.

I cold capped during chemo, which is why I didn’t completely loose my hair. It was too patchy though and on my 42nd birthday I shaved it all off. There was something quite liberating about it. I felt pretty bad ass and never wore a wig.

According to ‘The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy’ (which I have never read or seen). 42 is the answer to the universe. Anyway I took it as a sign, reborn at 42.

I’m not sure I have much wisdom to part, beyond what people normally share when their mortality comes into sharp focus. Cancer turns the saturation on life all the way up. The pain, the fear, the love, the beauty of it all. Sun dancing through the leaves on a tree has never look so magnificent than when you’ve been told you might die soon.

What am I trying to say? I dunno, maybe to stop and remember to look around you. Remember to tell the ones you love you love them. Try to feel compassion for the ones you don’t love. Be kind to our beautiful mother planet. She is glorious. Ultimately love is the only real answer.

Oh and the best thing about chemo is chemo curls!

Hmmm it’s turning cold again, our merino snoods are a perfect transitional piece. They are also perfect for your morning 🚲 commute, windy walk, drafty studio (IYKYK).

Winter has felt long, filled with challenges, surgeries, treatments. There is something so optimistic about filling your garden with bulbs before winter comes. The promise of new life, light after the dark. These things aren’t lost on me, tomorrow isn’t a given.

The world feels very dark atm, I hope lighter days are coming. I saw in concert a couple of weeks ago. He said the most punk thing you can do atm is to be kind. Love is a radical act. So I choose to be punk 🤘🏼
