While some stress is good as the body's natural response to challenges (including within the context of yoga practice, where we refer to it as controlled 'effort'), prolonged and uncontrolled stress is likely to cause serious health problems.
Practising yoga and meditation has been proved to significantly reduce excess cortisol, alleviate physical tension, and promote mental clarity.
Stress occurs when your body and mind respond to challenges, changes, or pressures in life.
It can be triggered by difficult situations as well as positive life events.

I am looking forward to covering two classes at Sol Centre tomorrow, Monday 6 April. Join me for a Heated (literally) Vinyasa class at 9:30-10:30am, and/or for a regular Vinyasa at 12-1pm. Vinyasa is the combination of breath and movement: a cleansing, energising, but also very grounding practice. Hope to see you there!
