On International Women’s Day, I’m celebrating the woman who inspires me the most — my wife.

Driving along the M5 today, my wife and I started reflecting on how we got to where we are today.

She arrived in the UK on a cold November day — navigating homesickness, uncertainty, and the challenge many internationally trained nurses face when starting life here.

Many of us come with experience, knowledge, and skills.

But the real question often comes later:

What should my next move be?

Before vision, we need values.

Your values shape the decisions you make, the leadership you pursue, and the impact you want to create.

Everyone talks about vision.

you may climb the ladder only to realise it’s leaning against the wrong wall.

Values come first.

Your values determine:
• What kind of leader you become
• What work actually fulfils you
• What opportunities you say yes (and no) to
• How you navigate growth without losing yourself

Vision without values creates noise.
Values create clarity.
