Heya Guys!

It's the 1st of September today!

And what does mean? Yes, it means that teachers will be returning to work. Some of you may have returned today, but I officially start back tomorrow!

The reality of being a teacher-mum is that I no longer have the choice of just waking up and getting my own self ready. I have to be strategic and organised in order to make sure that I can keep all the balls in the air and get everyone out on time.

So, even though this year, I have the option of waking up later (say maybe 6am or even 6:15am), I am still choosing to get up at 5am.

Why? Because I understand that I have bigger goals that I want to achieve, not just for my career but for my personal health and future! And I can only achieve these goals if I am carving out some time to do so!

I know that Rome wasn't built in a day and the goals that I have for myself will need to be worked on a little bit at a time for me to achieve them.

I strategically know that the best time for me to achieve this in the morning before everyone is up because the evenings will be filled with commuting from work, dinner prep and getting the children ready for bed. Also, I may just be too tired from the day!

So my question to you is: What will you either change (or keep the same) in order to make sure that you can achieve your goals?

Do you even know what your goals are in the first place?

Let me know in the comments.

Hi my name is Mavela.

If you are a teacher, you already know how stressful the profession can be.

2025-2026 was an extremely challenging year for me - I will spare you the details. So, I was banking on resting and truly enjoying my summer.

HOWEVER, when you are teacher-mum, your summer holidays are no longer the same: no endless lie-ins, no doing whatever you please. So, I was obviously slightly apprehensive about whether I would have a good time!

But I have to say, with my hand on my chest, this was one of my best summer holidays ever! And I am a mum of three you'all!

If you are a teacher or a teacher-mum, let me know how you've found this summer holiday. Has it been a good one? Why or why not?

Let me know in the comments!

✨️MY LONG AWAITED EXCITING NEWS βœ¨πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

I’m so happy to finally announce that after some time of training, I am now officially a fully certified Travel Business Owner and Independent Travel Agent! πŸŒβœˆοΈπŸ§³πŸ›©

I’m partnered with an ABTA and ATOL protected company with over 25 years of experience and who are recognised as the UK’s no1 home based travel agency.

I knew that this would be amazing not just for me, but for everyone in my network - as so many people travel anyway.

It gives me the chance to not only earn commission on my holidays but by booking for friends and families too!!

I love holidays, travelling and experiencing new things and adventures and I will able to do this more with this business πŸ–πŸ—ΌπŸ—½πŸ―πŸͺ‚πŸšπŸŽ‘.

I’m doing this flexibly around my teaching job and being a mum of three children. I’m so grateful to be able to have the opportunity to do something that I enjoy, while helping others.

I am excited about getting the chance to book holidays for individuals and families - particularly for travel within Europe!

I will be having a Zoom call tomorrow evening (25/8) at 9pm to share more about how you can support me, travel smart or earn a commission when you book travel.

Comment 'travel' and I will send you the Zoom link.

I’M BEYOND EXCITED!!

Some mothers find that looking after their children can be very stressful and an unenjoyable experience, especially if they have their own commitments or want a break.

I have found that having clear expectations for your children are good for helping you to manage your home and your own emotions.

I wanted to try out these visual timetables that I made, as I believe that it would help my children think about all of the activities that they could do instead of just focusing on one.

Adding an incentive for completing different chores can make it fun for you and the children; making motherhood enjoyable rather than a thing of endurance and frustration.

A little bit of honesty here: I filmed this at the start of the holiday and we are about 30 days in and the boys have rarely used this chart. I guess that we have found our own rhythm.

Would you try a chart like this? Yes or No and why?

Let me know in the comments.
