MUSCLE BUILDING
So you may of seen me post this pic on my story last week, or not, but I was making the point that muscle growth is steady and not as quick as we'd like it to be. It takes time and a lot of effort for muscular growth to occur. It starts in the gym lifitng weights and finishes outside of the gym eating enough calories and protein and recovering. All of those elements have to run in harmony consistently over time, a lot of time.
The pictures are 14 months apart. June 2019 - Aug 2020
Pic to the left, was me training at my maintenance calories, building muscle a.k.a 'recomping' or 'recomposition' and was training around 6x a week and pushed myself physically in near enough all of my sessions. Didn't really have much of an apetite then but realised in order to add more muscle I had to start eating above my maintenance kcal and go into a 'bulk'. So I did, month later went into my first bulking cycle.
Pic to the right was me training at my maintenance calories after going through both my first bulking and cutting phases successfully. I had ended putting on more muscle mass and so I make the point that if you're looking to add muscle you get these right...
- Weight-training sessions have to be challenging!(without burning out or overtraining)
- Eating enough protein!
- Eating enough calories!
- Low fatigue(Emotional stress)
- Fully rested, getting good sleep!
If you're doing all of the above synchronistically, then you're on your way!
If not and need help? pop me a DM and let me help!

Been a few months since the gyms have been closed and the majority of us have had to resort to making use of minimal equipment and even tree branches for pull ups lol but the wait is basically over and gyms will be open again next week!!

This is my transformation since the gyms were shut in march. I am pleased with my current physique and grateful to look more leaner now, than I did. I put myself in a caloric deficit from the beginning of lockdown and now I’m maintaining my physique, eating at my maintenance calories. Since the lockdown I’ve been training 6x times a week and doing 10k runs every Sunday. I’ve enjoyed it mostly as it gave me a change from what I was used to and I must say that I’ve improved massively with my body-weight strength. Definitely looking to change up my approach to training when the gyms are back open, by not getting carried away with weightlifting and exploring other varieties.

AMAZING CLIENT PROGRESSION!!!!
So excited for my client a good friend zack on his phenomenal 9 WEEK transformation. Firstly hitting his initial target of losing a stone and still continuing to drop weight after acheiving that goal. The determination and ex*****on from this guy has been second to none. Zack has been non-stop with his daily runs and HIIT sessions(4-5x per week) and also diligent with his nutrition. Kicking out his bad eating habits and exchanging them for ones that are healthier, tasty and sustainable.
This has positively impacted his life....how?
- Zack has dropped inches of his waist, navel, chest etc. and is having to shop for new clothes.
- Built up his stamina and endurance, going from running 5ks at first, to 10ks to hitting a 15k and then recently bagging himself a goal of 20K!
- Installed new habits of eating healthier and is feeling the positive impact it is having on him mentally
- Confidence has boosted skyyy highhhh! and is now taking on more challenges to enhance his fitness
This did not come easy and Zack had to work extremely hard given the circumstance, as it is easier to slack off during this self-isolation period. Every week has been an improvement, he didn't come right out the gate to where he is at now easily, it has been a graft! Taking the steps to gradually getting his level of fitness and weight to where it is today. Great work brother! we move!!
