Here’s what I’d tell you if I wasn’t afraid to hurt your feelings about your leadership 👇
You’re exhausted because you’re trying to be the leader you think you “should“ be instead of the leader you actually are.
Swipe to see the uncomfortable truths I share with my clients:
The founders I work with come to me feeling like impostors, despite building successful businesses.
They’re second-guessing every decision, feeling overwhelmed by leadership responsibilities, and wondering when they’ll finally “feel” like a real leader.
Here’s what I’ve learned after working with 100s of female entrepreneurs:
The most outstanding leaders aren’t copying anyone else’s playbook.
They’re not performing confidence - they’re embodying it because they know exactly who they are and what they stand for.
When you lead from authentic self-knowledge instead of who you think you should be:
🤩 Decision-making becomes straightforward (because it’s values-based)
🤩 Your team feels your genuine confidence (not your performed version)
🤩 Leadership energises you instead of depleting you
🤩 You create better results because you’re working WITH your natural strengths
Bottom line: You don’t have imposter syndrome.
You have “trying-to-be-someone-else“ syndrome.
Ready to stop exhausting yourself and start leading as your powerful, authentic self?
✨I’m offering 5 *free* Clarity Mini Coaching Sessions this week - 20 minutes to help you see what’s really behind your leadership overwhelm and get clear on your next right step.✨

“I’m really enjoying it. It’s been a lot of fun recently”
People say “It must be really stressful?”
“Yeah, it’s stressful, and it’s also fun.” ✨
A Founder client told me yesterday this is now their default response when people ask about work.
They run a scaling organisation with a growing team.
When they came to me they were:
❌ Anxious 😟
❌ Fearful 😟
❌ Worried 😟
They wanted to be a brilliant leader with a happy team. But worried they didn’t match the great “leader” mould. [The sort who wore power suits and never made mistakes.]
❌ This fuelled imposter syndrome and discomfort. 😟
Now though?
They told me: ✨ “My values are really aligned with the business. So me being myself IS being a great leader - Not being that person in a suit I thought I should be.” ✨
Running a big successful organisation is still stressful. Things still go wrong.
But here’s the difference:
✅ They’ve built their wellbeing foundation - So they think clearly under pressure
✅ They’ve developed resilience - Bouncing back without losing confidence
✅ They’ve discovered who they are at their best - Their values and signature strengths
✅ Every decision flows from their authentic self - This gives them unshakeable confidence

🔥If you're a female entrepreneur and you do ONE thing today, please let it be
👉 reading this post and taking action.🔥
* Did you know that according to the 2024 World Economic Forum, it's going to be roughly 5 generations until we get gender equality?
➡️ That's not in my daughter's life.
➡️ Nor my granddaughter's.
➡️ Nor my great granddaughter's.
➡️ Nor my great great granddaughter's.
➡️ BUT hopefully by my great great great granddaughter's life, we'll have equality.
Let's review how it stands today:
👉98% of every £ invested in founders in the UK goes to MALE founders.
👉 If women got the same investment as their male counterparts they'd be able to add £250 BILLION to the UK economy.
The lack of funds and the environment in which female entrepreneurs operate has a knock-on effect to the impact we make in the world.
Today I'm asking you to join the mission to get equality sooner.
Myself and my esteemed colleague Yvonne Biggins are writing a report on the experience of a female entrepreneur today.
1. We need YOU to fill it in.
It doesn't matter what sort or size of business you run, please share your experiences with us.
2. It takes 5 minutes (max) to fill in.
3. Tag or forward it to 5 female entrepreneur friends.
4. Help us get 500 female entrepreneurs to fill in the survey - so our shared stories can be told.

Report on The life of a female entrepreneur in 2024
Hello, we are two founders and researchers, who study and work with female entrepreneurs and how the science of Positive Psychology can support them. We want to lift the lid on the challenges female entrepreneurs face today. We’d be grateful if you’d share your honest responses to this survey. T...

My goodness December is full-on isn't it.
Someone said to me this weekend that it's like a never-ending intense To Do list, punctuated with tiredness, illness and the need to remember to have fun along the way. Yup. 🤪
Amidst all of that, it's really hard to:
A) ✨Stop and reflect on this year of our lives that's coming to a close.
B) ✨Find the space to create intentions for the one about to arrive.
If you can, it's a great idea to give yourself permission to stop, to fully appreciate everything you've learned, enjoyed and achieved, as well as the opportunity to learn from anything that didn't go so well.
👉 The clarity you'll get from this exercise will help you set intentions for next year. 🤩
Maybe you're hoping to do this during Betwixtmas - my most favourite downtime when everyone downs tools and we get to BE. Or perhaps you've managed to create a little space before Christmas.
I've managed to ringfence four hours this coming week to hang out with a wonderful new friend and soon-to-be Positive Psychology coaching collaborator. We're going to reflect on this year and think through our intentions for next year, personally and professionally, what we want for ourselves and what we might create together. I am looking forward to it immensely.
I spent a bit of time yesterday creating some prompts for this relfection and intention setting, which I'm very happy to share with you.
I'll share the link to the document below. ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
It's a humble Google Doc because that way it's easy for you to copy and edit in document.
It doesn't matter what you're doing in your life, they will provide useful information from which to continue growing.
Because I wrote them, they have a big dose of Positive Psychology in the mix, plus big picture perspective reflections on yourself and your work.
Whenever you get a chance, I recommend you make a hot drink, find a comfy spot and give yourself time to jot down your reflections, feelings and thoughts.
Once you've given them a go, please let me know how you found them.
I love hearing from you ❤️

What does Nonie do again?
She's a coach, something to do with Positive psychology...
YES!
Here's what I do:
👉 I support purpose-driven female founders with my signature programme, to get clear on who they are, what their next level of achievement looks like and how they can do it with maximum energy, impact and wellbeing. 🚀
👉 Who exactly do I help?
You are: ✨Inspiring, driven and successful.✨
And also…
• Utterly exhausted from hustling so hard.
• Feeling lost & disconnected from yourself.
• Neglecting yourself. Neglecting time with loved ones.
(We both know, it’s not the dream and it’s not sustainable 😳)
** Here's what you want:
👉 To feel full of energy, confidence, direction and influence.
👉 To have clarity & purpose - to know exactly who you are, what you want, where you’re going and how.
👉 Courage & confidence – to understand what unique value you add and what your signature strengths are, to show up as you, with courage and confidence.
👉 Great wellbeing – good health, happiness and quality of life (NOT to burn out).
** How do we achieve that? **
👉 We follow my 6-step signature programme, working together 1:1 every other week for 90 days.
The programme offers:
✨ A safe, supportive and effective space to do your best thinking.
✨ A strategic opportunity to zoom out from the daily hustle to tune into your core values and big vision.
✨ Accountability to get the results you want.
✨ An evidence-based Positive Psychology framework and ethos.
👉 Here's what you get by the end:
✨You make decisions with courage and confidence (you know who you are and what’s most important to you).
✨You regularly have more energy and flow, because now you know how to use your signature strength profile
✨Super clear purpose, priority and the pathway to your next level of success.
✨A focused plan that channels what works best for you, identifies what hinders your progress and gives you ways forward to navigate challenges.
It's a wonderful programme that produces transformational results (see below).
I’m filling up for Autumn so if you’re interested, please DM me and let’s chat. 🎯

🌟🌟What’s the golden thread that weaves through all your work?🌟🌟
Last night I met up in London with old peers who share mine: ✨to make the world a better place than we found it.✨
I met Rabih Yazbeck – and Tyler Tornaben Guiliano – over a decade ago. We were the second ever cohort at Goldsmiths, University of London to take a Masters in .
At the time social entrepreneurship was our everything. I had to learn that to the outside world it was still a teeny, weeny, nascent niche slice of the business universe.
Now business for good is better known and both of my peers are leading seriously impactful teams changing the world for the better globally. 💪👏
There’s such a wonderful feeling of coming home, to be amongst people who view the world in a similar way. Ten years may have past, but it felt like yesterday we were learning alongside each other.
It’s so blooming brilliant to have such inspirational friends.❤️
We covered work and life with candour – as people can who were partially formed in the same forge and who live far, far away.
It was interesting to reflect that my golden thread remains the same and yet it's been enriched and become stronger.
I’m still obsessed with how business can change the world for the better – but now I’m also obsessed with how positive psychology and coaching can help people to build sustainable businesses to do that and *flourish*... rather than burnout.
I waxed lyrical about the benefits of Positive psychology to Tyler and Rabih, how it can support them and their organisations to do their best work and make the maximum impact, with maximum energy, performance and joy.
Again, I realised I’m excited to be part of something that’s still pretty nascent, but can - and hopefully will – change the world for the better 🚀🚀🚀✨
🌟What’s your golden thread?🌟
P.S. I think there should have been a public service announcement that half of Dean Street was replaced with a TUBE STATION when I wasn't looking 🤯

Imagine a 3 hour exam.
81 very subtly nuanced coaching scenarios with 4 multiple choice answers - of which you have to choose what the best thing that the coach should do [in alignment with the ICF core values, 26 ethical standards, 4 ethical domains and 8 core competencies] and the worst option.
To pass you need to get 75% of the 81 correct.
Oof - this was a challenge. I've not taken a 3 hour exam since my undergraduate days, several lifetimes ago.
I fully admit I've been putting off taking the exam for ages 🙄
🎉 However, I'm delighted to say that yesterday, I took ... and passed my ICF credentialing exam 🎉
To get ACC status you need to have:
* At least 60 hours of coach-specific training that meets ICF guidelines for credentialing (I am trained to PCC standard so had 125 hours)
* Completion of 100+ hours of client-coaching
* 10 hours of mentor coaching
* Pass both knowledge and performance assessments at the Associate Certified Coach level
Out the other side I can now say I 100% understand why training with the ICF is the gold standard for coaching.
The training and the focus on ethics and best practice is RIGOROUS. I'm enormously proud to share with clients what this means for how I practice and what this means for working with me.
There's also accountability in being part of such a serious and international professional body. Did you know if you have a complaint about how I coach (hopefully never going to happen!) you can speak to the ICF and they'll investigate and hold me to account?
I also discovered that in the UK, as of May 2023 there were only:
1750 ACC coaches (and now at least one more!)
1172 PCC coaches (500 hours +)
95 MCC coaches (2500 hours +)
There are **so many** coaches online.
How often do you know how well trained they are?
Feeling happy and very well trained today 🥰

✨“We are all wonderful, beautiful wrecks.
That's what connects us - that we're all
broken, all beautifully imperfect.” Emilio Estevez ✨
How awesome is this quote?
As entrepreneurs we're constantly up against our biggest enemy: ourselves.
We constantly have to overcome resistance - whether it's going out of our comfort zone to pitch or to do the difficult work that needs to be done.
We also judge ourselves, compare and criticise ourselves. We tell ourselves we're not good enough, in ways we'd NEVER talk to someone else.
Me Vs Me often ends in negative emotions... which make action even harder to take.
The answer?
✨Understanding and knowing that we're not alone.✨
When we recognise that failing and feeling inadequate are part of the human condition and inevitable, we can be more gentle with ourselves.
No one escapes the being human-ness of being human. We are all vulnerable and we all suffer.
Beyond the awards and the glossy snaps, we are all wonderful, beautiful wrecks.
It can feel like we're the only one making mistakes, suffering or struggling.
When you feel alone in your negative emotions, does it help you to remember we all have the same experiences?
