The ‘JPARMOIRE GIRLS’ are under direction of Artistic Director Jo Penton to bring the essence of true Parisian Cabaret to the UK. We pride ourselves on being a showgirl provider that only use the crème de la crème of dancers. As ex Moulin Rouge, Crazy Horse Dancers and Can‑Can Soloists the Management at JPARMOIRE select each individual dancer based on specific measurements, image, training and experience in the Cabaret industry. Jo was born in the UK and began her professional career at just 13 years of age. Dancing in the UK for artist such as;
Liza Minnelli, Barry Young, Jim Davidson, Des O’Connor, The Platters, Roy Castle, Liberace, Lulu, Charles Aznavour, Brigitte Nielsen, Engle Humperdinck
At 16 she successfully secured a place with the Ballet Rambert however chose to leave the UK to dance in Portugal for Gerry Atkins, a former Moulin Rouge and Folies Bergère choreographer. Jo went on to work as a showgirl at the Moulin Rouge in Paris for two years. While there, she danced with headliner Debbie de Coudreaux, Tillisha Daniels and Latoya Jackson and was quickly promoted to Captain of the dancers. She went on to tour with Moulin Rouge around the USA and Russia performing as the Can-Can soloist with stars including MC Hammer
Up until 8 years ago Jo was working in world-class cabaret shows in the USA, Russia, Hong Kong, Korea, Macau, Monte Carlo and Paris (her second home). With an array of shows and years of experience under her belt, Jo Penton is a veteran of the Showgirl genre. Jo’s philosophy is to maintain the Showgirl tradition and bring the essence of Parisian Cabaret to the UK.
