📣⚽ EXCEL SUNDAY LEAGUE - SILENT SIDELINES – LET THEM PLAY! ⚽📣

This Sunday we will be running our second “Silent Sidelines – Let Them Play” initiative of the season, in line with the FA’s Silent Support Weekend. The aim is to give players the freedom to think, communicate and make their own decisions without sideline pressure.

🤫 During matches there should be no shouting or calling out from spectators.
Support players with clapping and positive body language only. Applause for goals and good play from both teams is encouraged — just without words.

When the sidelines are quiet, you may notice your child:
✨ Playing with more confidence and creativity
✨ Communicating more with teammates
✨ Making their own decisions
✨ Staying focused on the game

❗ Important reminders:

Coaches have been instructed to pause the game (even mid-play) if there is any calling out from the sidelines.

Persistent offenders may affect the children’s playing time.

Team Organisers will receive separate guidance and may organise players briefly if needed but not instruct during play.

This initiative is not about penalising spectators, but about creating a positive and pressure-free environment where players can enjoy the game and develop their decision-making.
