Created in the same year, Wayne McGregor’s Infra resonates with the emotional landscape of a city in shock. A choreographic meditation on urban humanity, fracture, and connection, Infra doesn't offer answers — it offers space. To feel, to move, to remember.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Wayne McGregor’s EDEN | EDEN which premiered at the in 2005, and later performed by @ sfballet(2007), (2011), (2017), (2021) and @ ballettdortmund(2022). ⁠

EDEN | EDEN addresses the role of technology in the ethics surrounding the human body. ⁠
⁠
This work is set to Steve Reich's spoken libretto/musical score for the third act of his filmic opera, Three Tales. ⁠

Acknowledged as “one of the most powerful, influential players in the sector" for work going above and beyond to enrich the industry

"McGregor was knighted in 2024 for his services to dance and it continued to be an impressive year for the choreographer. Alongside his take on MargaretAtwood’s MADDADDAM at the Royal Opera House, where he remains resident choreographer, McGregor directed another sumptuous programme at the Venice Biennale festival. He continues to be at the forefront of innovations in AI, and his dance-making tool AISOMA, which draws on archival footage to offer creative prompts in the studio, is worth paying attention to as it informschis upcoming work in 2025."

WE HUMANS ARE MOVEMENT!

Sir Wayne McGregor closed his fourth year as Artistic Director of Biennale Danza with WE HUMANS ARE MOVEMENT, performed and co-choreographed by the dancers from Biennale College Danza 2024 in collaboration with Company Wayne McGregor

McGregor enlisted Benji B, Theresa Baumgartner, Ben Cullen Williams, and Wolford for this electrifying collaboration. Staged as two consecutive, one-off, site-specific performances, this high-touch, high-tech collaboration took place in the historic Sala Grande in the modernist Palazzo del Cinema on the Lido, home of the Venice International Film Festival
