IMPORTANT NOTICE
We are aware that some of you have been contacted by a group of individuals representing specific federations, spreading disinformation, and attempting to spread confusion and panic via deception. Due to these actions (amongst others), the following countries have had their IPSF Membership cancelled:
Czech Republic
France
Russia
Spain
Switzerland
This is a result of these federations attempting a hostile takeover of the IPSF, while also actively interfering with, threatening, undermining and coercing other National Federations. This is truly an unfortunate situation that we wish was avoidable, but unfortunately, the safety of our National Federations, our athletes and our Sport must come first. Our athletes remain our priority, and the focus of the IPSF remains to create an environment in which athletes can compete fairly and safely.
Should a replacement Federation not be up and running in time to host a national competition, the athletes of these Federations will be invited to compete as Open athletes, as is standard for any athlete without a National Federation. The invitation for a national Federation to apply will be sent out as well. We will not block these Federations from reapplying to the IPSF, should they decide in the future that they are capable of working WITH the IPSF and not against it.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact your National Federation or the IPSF at [email protected].
