Goal of the season contender?

On Sunday we play an end of season friendly against new opponents Stokey FC of L*L Div 1.

Stokey will be a tough opponent as they prepare for their cup final next weekend and their players will undoubtedly be looking to showcase why they should be in that final squad. They might even be expecting an easy win over an L*L Div 2 side...

Our job will be to give them a test and enjoy ourselves with a run out against new opponents, whilst also showing them Barnes aren't to be underestimated 😜 we'll be giving a couple of lads debuts and a couple players some much needed minutes after stop start seasons.

Looking forward to seeing what our boys bring on the day 💪

The SSFL boys saw out the season in style with a solid 5-2 victory over a 10 man Arantes.

With a couple of late drop outs (is it Sunday league without them?) and a game of roulette, the lads lined up in 4-2-4 for the first time this season with some fantastic shifts from the guys playing in unfamiliar positions all over the pitch.

Our L*L bid farewell to the 25/26 season and to former player . Unfortunately we weren't able to send Alf packing to Australia with a win but the run out gave him a chance to play with his twin brother in front of his no. 1 fan, his daughter Rosie.

Wishing him all the best as he embarks on a new chapter, a former manager of the L*L team, he'll be missed by many at the club!

Our 25/26 season will draw to a close with two away games this weekend.

Our SSFL team are playing ACT Arantes in their away fixture at a familiar ground given a shortage of pitches at this time of year. The boys will mixing things up this week and playing their version of Russian Roulette to honour new teammate Aleksei

Meanwhile our L*L team will make the familiar journey to West Ham Memorial Park, seemingly where every other L*L team plays, to face London Freedom. Rumours the L*L team will be welcoming back a familiar face to the club are confirmed as Kieran Clark returns to make his Barnes L*L debut.

There might also be a found farewell to be made too 👀

Hoping for two wins from two and round of the season on a high!

Big West London Derby yesterday in the L*L as we fought to earn bragging rights over local rivals London Titans.

This game was personal a number of Barnes faces making sure they were involved in the match against their former club Titans.

Despite the hype and outside noise in the aftermath of the reverse of this fixture, the team battled hard against a good Titans side and it was thanks to big who personally knocked the ball home to earn us the point.

We move into the end of the season with just one more away game to play for the L*L side as we aim to cement 5th place in the league.

Despite going a goal down, the boys stuck together and dug in to level it at half time. And the boys pressed on in the second half to get ahead and see out an important win. A great game and huge shifts all over the pitch, really good team performance with every single team member playing their part to fight for the win.

No game this coming week for the SSFL team means they spend their Sunday checking scores with fingers crossed that Larkhall can bounce back and beat Bristol 🤞

The L*L team though will be back in action away to Titans in the West London Derby!

It might have started with fireworks but it ended at the pub for us after a miserable England performance failed to impress some of our newest members.

After our very own suggested we watch his home country at Wembley, we'll be taking what we can from Japan's performance into our relegation battle, solid structure, attack with pace and purpose and plenty of hard work.

Always a pleasure to get to the national stadium and watch England despite the result.

After going 2 goals up from open play we thought we were rocking, but we let the oppo back in after some ambitious attacks.

Although we got the header from a corner this week to bring it back level, but things didn't go out way and it wasn't enough to get anything from the game and we take the L.
