Did you know? 💦🐢
One of the largest global studies on early years development found that young swimmers significantly outperform non-swimmers across a range of key skills.
Children who swim regularly were shown to be:
✨ 11 months ahead in verbal skills
✨ 6 months ahead in maths reasoning
✨ 17 months ahead in story recall
✨ 20 months ahead in understanding & following instructions
✨ 15 months ahead in social & emotional development
And the best part? They’re learning all of this through fun, bonding, and play in the water 💙
Because the best academic head start isn’t at a desk… it’s in the pool.
Join Turtle Tots North London and give your little one a confident, happy start in life.

It’s time for D in our A–Z of all things Turtle Tots, and today’s post is all about DADS 💙
We LOVE seeing dads coming to lessons with their little ones, especially at our weekend sessions. Dads bring such a fun, energetic vibe — often the ones lifting baby the highest or zooming their toddler the fastest! Swimming is most definitely not just for mums… give it a go, we promise we won’t make you sing 😉
E is for EMOTIONAL BENEFITS
Exercise releases endorphins, helping boost mood and self-esteem. Most importantly, lessons give you precious bonding time with your baby. Swimming can also help relieve stress while improving fitness and heart health.
Water is a natural, comforting environment for babies, where they feel safe and secure. Weekly lessons strengthen your bond, and many parents tell us their baby’s sleeping and feeding improves too. Starting young helps little ones build confidence in and under the water — what’s not to love?
F is for FRIENDSHIP
One of the loveliest parts of our lessons is the friendships that form — both for little ones and parents. We see so many connections made in those early sessions that last for years to come. 🐢💕

💦 Looking for something to do this Easter holiday? 💦
At Turtle Tots North London, we LOVE our structured lessons — they’re the perfect place for little ones to learn key skills safely and build strong foundations 🐢💙
But children really benefit from as much time in the water as possible! 👀
When little ones have extra opportunities to splash, play and explore, they:
✨ Build confidence faster
✨ Reinforce what they learn in lessons
✨ Become more comfortable in different pools and surroundings
✨ And most importantly… fall in love with being in the water!
Trying different pools also helps children adapt to new environments — from noise levels to pool depth — making them more confident swimmers wherever they go 💦
So these holidays, why not add in some extra swim time and make it a fun family activity?

⏰ Reminder: Clocks go back tonight! ⏰
Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour this evening — that means a little extra sleep for everyone (win! 🙌)
This small change can sometimes affect little ones’ routines, so tomorrow’s swim sessions might feel slightly different — but we’ll be ready to welcome you with warm water and lots of smiles 💦🐢
See you in the pool!
