Please join us in congratulating our Head Professional, Matt Johns, as Jordan Smith has officially qualified for and earned his PGA Tour card for 2026.
Matt has been Jordan’s putting coach since 2011, alongside coaching several other DP World Tour players. This milestone marks the realisation of a key goal for Jordan, and we are immensely proud that RBGC’s Head Professional has played such a significant role in helping him achieve it. 👏🏻 ⛳️ 🏴 🇺🇸

The club’s two-Oval crest, bearing the words ‘Instituted AD 1608.’ The origin of this date lies in the accession of James VI of Scotland to the throne of England as James I in 1603, and the subsequent arrival of his Scottish court at the royal palace of Greenwich, lying between Blackheath and the Thames.
The crown and rose, thistles and St Andrew’s cross contained in the crest symbolise the club’s tradition as a golf club for Scots in England.
The club’s current crest (3rd image), was designed and commissioned in 2012.

Our clubhouse, the spectacular Eltham Lodge... The Grade I-listed building dates back to 1664, and originally built for the banker to King Charles I, Sir John Shaw, by Hugh May - one of the four leading architects of his day.
Between 1750 and 1755, renovations were made to Eltham Lodge to modernise the building, though many of the original features remain. A stunning example of historic British architecture and home to England’s oldest golf club.
