The report claiming that Mehdi Taremi is leaving his club to return to Iran and join the military is not true.
According to multiple sources, the story circulated widely on social media, but his agent has denied the claims. Taremi has not informed Olympiacos F.C. of any decision to leave in order to serve in the military.
His representatives clarified that he remains focused on his professional football career and continues his commitments with the club in Greece.
As of now, there is no official confirmation from Taremi or his club supporting the claim that he plans to join the Iranian military.
