I’ve deffo missed the lat pull the most, I feel my back has definitely taken the largest hit when it comes to home workouts. They just don’t hit the same, tell me I’m wrong but there is nothing that hits the same as some heavy rows and a lat pull down in a gym full of people with the same goal as you to get in DAMN GOOD SHAPE..hmmmm 🤤

Motivation. Yeah there’s science to it, intrinsic and extrinsic, yada yada, but that’s not today’s post. Today is about what to do when you’re actually lacking motivation...
I’ve been there. I’ve had days where I even find it difficult to get out of bed, let alone work out. So what helped me? My circle.
Now, when I say circle, yeah of course family and friends come into it, but also your social media accounts. Are you following loads of accounts you really couldn’t give a f*ck about because they’re posting loads of giveaways, or they followed you so you feel obliged to follow back... you’re grown. You don’t need to follow4follow some random chick because she said you look pretty and have 🥴
You do you. Social media is really what you make it, and on my days where I feel meh, I come to Instagram and because I follow the people I want to follow, my feed is full of motivating quotes, and full of people that genuinely inspire me.
If you’re social media isn’t inspiring you, you’re doing it wrong. If your social media is getting you down, you’re also doing it wrong.
Now this doesn’t mean you should depend on an app to be your motivation, all I’m saying is maybe consider your following to better your own mental health and sanity. Because I was definitely a victim of hating Instagram because all I followed was ‘influencer’ girls and feeling sorry for myself.
No no no. Get up. Get your workout done. And create a community that you really enjoy being a part of, and your motivation will have another aid from social media🤍✨ over and out team. HAPPY SATURDAY!!! ✌🏼💓

One month closer to sunshine 🌞 where has the year gone already...it’s March!??
When I say I can’t wait for summer this is what I mean...bikini, shorts, hot weather, and a whole lotta bad b energy 🥵🤩
if you aren’t doing hot girl summer this year, ask yourself why? It’s 2021, the year of self improvement, self love and having fun.
You got a man or woman? That’s cool, doesn’t mean you can’t improve yourself and better yourself and make them see what they got infront of them!!! Period. Hot girl summer doesn’t mean just hoe it up, it means look a 12/10 and thrive being a independent sexy woman (or man). It’s about feeling confident in who you are, having fun and looking good while doing it ✌🏼

I feel lockdown has definitely tested my motivation, but here I am, keep doing what I’m doing...why?
Because I enjoy it. This is my ‘why’. I workout because I enjoy it, I enjoy the rush I get from training and seeing what my body is actually capable of and what it can achieve with consistency and practice. You may well surprise yourself just pushing your body a little further, adding that extra rep. You’d be amazed. We all get too comfortable when a rep gets a lil burrrnn and we stop.
WE NEED TO KEEP GOING TO GROW.
You need to overload them muscles, struggle until the last rep, and push yourself!!! You can’t expect muscles to grow if they ain’t realllyyyy getting worked, push through the burn, you may be surprised at the resullltts (also applies to getting a big dumpy😛🍑 push through them reps!!)

I’m really feeling like gone are the days of the cold!!! And I’m so happy about it, dunno about you, but sunshine is just a vibe. Summer clothes is a vibe. Ice lollie in one hand and a sun cream in the other ISSA VIBE!!
Now on a serious note, this does not mean you need to go crazy to get your summer body, and do some crazy restriction to lose weight. It’s not healthy. The body you’re in needs love, and restricting it to the point where your stomach is in pain is a. Not sustainable b. Not healthy.
Your body needs fuel to function. This means fuel for your brain, fuel for your day2day activities, fuel for your bodily hormones to regulate properly. Fuel = food btw.
If you want to lose weight, start your fitness journey, learn about how to live a healthier happier life, without constantly feeling the need to label foods as bad and good, and therefore feeling the need to avoid the bad ones.
No food is bad, you just need to eat it in moderation. Peace out ✌🏼

1 day at a time.
You don’t open a bank account and expect to be a millionaire over night do you? So why do you expect your body to see significant changes overnight?
When I tell you, this s**t takes time!!! I’ve been working out for over 3 years now, so if you’re looking at me thinking ‘wow I want that’, girl, you gotta work for it.
Hard work and consistency, that’s all it is.
Don’t expect results straight away, and definitely do not be discouraged by not seeing results. Small changes are happening, just keep at it, and you’ll get there. 1 day at a time.
Remember to focus on the journey rather than the end goal. Think of that bank. Yeah you wanna be a millionaire, but first need to start accumulating that money, and you start small. Just like life. Changes are accumulating if you’re putting in the work, you just don’t know it yet ✌🏼👏🏼
