πŸ’₯πŸ–€β€πŸ‰ A date for your diaries! πŸ‰β€πŸ–€πŸ’₯

The SARFC Sonics Charity Shield will return for all junior girls' age grades next season on Sunday 18 October 2026, celebrating competitive rugby, rugby values and community; and raising the profile of junior girls' rugby in the process!

As a rugby community, we raised Β£3500 for charity with the inaugural Shield event last November. If you took part in any way, you contributed to that! We hope to raise more next season.

So save the date and, if you want to stay in the loop, follow us on Instagram ( and ) and email [email protected] to register your interest.

πŸ’₯πŸ–€β€πŸ‰ New balls please! πŸ‰β€πŸ–€πŸ’₯

How Jae-cool are these?! It might be tennis season, but these new balls are definitely rugby shaped, and a very kind donation too!

A big shout out to .uk for the much-needed contribution to Sonics rugby growth and development and to Club President, Peter Haigh, for organising it. We're most grateful to you both!

No doubt these balls will prove as popular on the pitch as .uk cars on the road!

πŸ’₯πŸ–€β€ Wow! What a fantastic family day! β€πŸ–€πŸ’₯

And how fortunate we were! Not just beautiful weather for the SARFC Sonics Family Day 2026, but so many new comers we nearly broke the blurring tool!

We had a fantastic day on Sunday, with music courtesy of DJ Gethin; a delicious BBQ courtesy of Stewart, Rani, Tara, Mark, Martin and Jo; and rugby-themed fun and games all round for players and parents alike; though it remains a mystery why "Soak the Coach" proved quite so popular! πŸ€”

To all those who joined us on Sunday, we hope you had as much fun as we did and that we see you again soon at Bramley Sport Ground. Please email [email protected] or WhatsApp 07740373544 if you would like to join us for training over the summer. We would love to see you; and you will always find a warm welcome with us.

A big shout out to Stewart for organising the event, to DJ Gethin for the smooth summer tunes, and to all those who helped make the day such a success.

25/04/2026

Tomorrow, Sunday 26 April, is family fun day at Saracens ARFC Sonics, when we invite all Club members to bring along a playing-age, female family member (Y6 to Y13) to sample the fun of junior girls' rugby.

There'll be music, games for all the family, a barbecue, and heaps of fun and positivity in equal measure. What's not to like?!

So, if you're in school years 6 to 13 and fancy experiencing the fun and community-feel of junior girls' rugby - or if you're the family member of someone who would - why not join us at Bramley Sports Ground N14 on Sunday, 26 April from 12pm to 2pm. We'd love to meet you!

And if you're one of the growing number of girls interested in playing rugby with the Sonics, please ask a family member to get in touch, either by emailing [email protected] or messaging our Director of Junior Girls' Rugby on 07740373544. Sonics on 3!

πŸ’₯πŸ–€β€ SARFC Sonics U14 pass, catch 'n' kick clinic β€πŸ–€πŸ’₯

Last night our U14s focused on some rugby fundamentals - passing, catching and kicking - at a clinic run not just by their weekly U14 coaches but by special guest coach and Club Vice Chair, Rani Tini.

Bathing in Bramley Road sun, the girls focused on distilling each core skill down to its constituent parts and reconstituting it slowly, step by step, to achieve more accurate and effective results.

And the results were surprising - not so much to the coaches as to the girls themselves, who saw a marked upturn in accuracy as the clinic progressed.

More importantly, the girls thoroughly enjoyed the session, with Rani's in-game kicking clinic a particular favourite. Well done Rani, and thank you! We hope you'll join us to run another clinic in the near future.
