After a fantastic season of bowls, our club competition finals are here!

It’s been a brilliant season, with all our players battling it out, supporting each other and, most importantly, enjoying their bowls. Now we’re ready for one final showdown on the green!

Never watched bowls before? Come along, soak up the atmosphere and see some seriously good competitive bowls in a friendly, social setting. There’s no need to commit to the whole day. You can stay for a few ends, grab a cuppa, have a chat and soak up the atmosphere. You never know… you might just get hooked!

A huge thank you to all our markers, umpires and volunteers for giving their time and helping make our competitions happen. We couldn’t do it without you.

And finally, good luck to all our finalists. Play well, enjoy the occasion and give it everything!

Have a Go at Visually Impaired Tennis this summer!
Thanks to a grant from the Royal Borough of Kingston Sports Department, the
Kingston Sightloss Support, KSS, is delighted to offer 4 free tennis taster sessions
specially adapted for blind and partially sighted players.
Blind tennis was invented in Japan in 1984 and was introduced to England in 2006.
Since then, the sport has grown significantly, providing an enjoyable and inclusive
way for people with visual impairments to stay active and have fun.
Our coaches, Odette Battarel and Amanda Green, are both visually impaired and
qualified Level 2 LTA Tennis Coaches. They have played an important role in
developing blind tennis both in the UK and internationally. During the sessions, they
will share their experiences as visually impaired players and provide a fun and
supportive introduction to the sport.
The game is played on a slightly smaller court using special jingly balls, allowing
players to hear the ball as it bounces.
We are currently visiting tennis courts across Kingston and have not yet finalised the
dates, times, and venues for the sessions.

email to register your interest and we will keep you updated with further details.
We look forward to hearing from you and introducing you to this exciting and
accessible sport!
It is also a great game for visually impaired children and adults to play with sighted
friends, siblings or family members where the visually impaired players will be
allowed several bounces and the sighted players only one! Take a racket and afew
sound balls with you on holiday and have a great time playing singles or doubles!
